Hi, this is Carmen and this is a Spooky Tells, the podcast for all the spooky, Haunted Places, Smiths, legends and to crime in Latin America. But not today. We were not able to record a normal episode because Christina, Christina loves her voice, plus the holidays, you know, blah blah blah, all that stuff. So instead, here's a list for spooky Chris movies to watch with your recalentado or today if you're not busy, and Christina's with us in spirit because she put this list together. Okay, the first one Gienmo Toros Frankenstein. We've already said so much about this over at Patreon, but it is so wintry it has to be on this list and for some reason you haven't seen it. Now it's a great time watch it wrapped in your San Marcos Gobica with some hot chocolate in hand. Frigate Sigin stars Oscar Isaac as Victor Fraggitstein, and this role was always mad for him. Guermo del Toro had no other doctor Frankistein in mind. The creature is Jacob Elordi, who goes from baby to man in the span of the movie, and Mia goth as mother and voice of reason. She's Victor's mom in the flashbacks, and then Elizabeth Victor's little's brother. Victor's little brother. My god, that's hard to say Victor's little brother's fiance. I don't know why that was so challenging. And anyway, Victor will live verlone. It's a beautiful cory movie, which is expected from Guillermo del Toro, and yes he took some liberties, but that's okay. Put it's on your Christmas movie watchless because of the snowy winter vibes. Next is Kronos Guierro del Toro's debut film. This movie is a Christians movie because it's set during Burrito saveneo do Tuki season, taking us into the new year Christmas. The chord is everywhere, and it's a vampire story. Nothing says it's Jesus' Birthday like a vampire story. The plot. A mysterious device designed to provide its owner with eternal life, resurvices after four hundred years, leaving a trail of destruction in its path. It stars Federico Luppi at Sweet Grandpa, Jus Gries, Margharita Isabel as his wife Mercedis and Tamara Shanith as their granddaughter Atrodram also Rob Perlman as Angela Guardia. Jus Gries finds the Kronos device and uses it accidentally the first time, and while he feels and looks younger, it comes with the price. This movie will have you in tears by the end. And if I'm not crying during my Christmas movie watching, I don't want it. And this list is more as spooky and it was written to try and get you away from the usuals like Harry Potter Home Alone Night, Mad Before Christmas, The Grinch, Muppets, Christmas Carol. Those are all fun, but so change it up. Our last recommendation is a Mexican Christmas movie called The pastor RelA. This is a black comedy fantasy with elements of horror. It's written and directed by Emilio Portees, who also directed the Mexican horror gem called The Bills. Abuf Juaquin Coscio is in both movies. Some of you might recognize him as the grandpa in the Netflix show called Hintafide, which was canceled way too soon. Anyway, in this movie, he starts as Jesus Juarez a Kia Tucco. He's a corrupt cop who always stars as a devil in the town's Pasrela, a Christmas play, and when a new priest shows up and gives the role to someone else, Tucco just not having it. He's not happy and he's gonna do whatever it takes to be the devil. And what follows is a literal battle between good and evil. We have exorcisms, fun fights, and great costumes. This is a must watch. Sadly it's not streaming anywhere, but one Nelsoner found it on YouTube. As of this morning, it's still there, so hopefully it stays there so you can all watch it. Okay, hopefully one of these movies makes it into your Christmas movie watching and we'll be back next week with the normal episode.
