This is Christina and this is Spooky Towns, the podcast for all things espooky. This episode is a little different. I had the chance, and maybe you've already seen this because I've put it all over Instagram, but I had the chance to go to Port Townsend with the ladies from the p ANDW Haunts and Homicides podcast. We stayed at a haunted lighthouse, then we went and stayed at a not stayed. We got to see a haunted hotel where mister Zach begins bagans, Mister bigel Bites stayed himself. So for this episode, I'm really seeing part one of our adventure slash trip to Port Townsend where we talk about the Point Wilson Lighthouse. Maybe you already heard this on PNW Hunts and Homicides, but we haven't. You can listen to it here and I strongly encourage you to head over to PNW Haunted Home Sides subscribe because next week over on their feed, we're going to talk about part two about our trip to part Townsend where we stayed at the Manrisa Castle now a hotel, and they talk about true crime hunted cases all in the Pacific Northwest, so like Washington, Oregon those places. At the end of the episode, they do a tero reading, which is super cool. So I'm sure that our listeners would love their podcast. Head over there so that you can check out part two of this episode. And also I just want to give a quick shout out to the patron members that joined in March. I haven't had a chance to record my normal shout out message to play on the episode, so thank you so much to Karina, Teresa and man Irmal. And also let me know if I owe you a super exclusive keychain if you joined the eight Dollars tier. I still have to have them made and I'm still going to send out stickers for the patron members and that sounds like something cool to you. Then you can head over to patreon dot com Slasha Spooky Taels to join. We have finally started recording more episodes to release on there. I'm editing one right now where MJ and I shared very creepy retted stories that creep both of us out. So yeah, enjoy this episode from PMW Haunts and Homo Science. Go over there in your podcast app search PNW Haunted, Homo Science, Subscribe follow so you can listen to part two of this and in the meantime, stay as spooky. Hi, Caitlin, Hi, Cassie, Hi, creepy people, helly you. We're actually we're not alone today. We have a visitor and she's super cool. Her name is Christina and she's from us Spooky Tales. Hi, so excited to be here. We also have the ghost companions with us, so we're like not alone alone. We have not been alone this whole weekend. We might be coming to you from on location. Yeah. I like how she says might, as if she can't quite tell. We perhaps might be inside of a lighthouse. Yeah, I mean technically, yeah, this was the lightofs Yeah. So we're actually coming to you from Port Townsend, Washington. Correct. We are in Fort Warden State Park, which has many beach trails, a forest, It has eagles, it has deers and bunnies. It's so freaking gorgeous. Here you can see the ocean. What ocean is that? I don't know. You're asking the Pacific? Is it? Oh my god, duh. We're on the West coast, so it's always the Pacific. I thought maybe I have like a special name, like it was like because we're like in a port I mean technically we're in the Puget Sound. Yeah, that's what I was looking for. Yeah, so we can see Kanadia. What ursan do we have on our side of the country. We can literally see Canada from here. You guys are literally pw hunts and homosex, Like, I don't know what part of the world we're in right now. I don't know what ocean this is. We're disoriented. You're like, this is my usual subject matter, so it's confusing. I don't know anything about the United States. On this fort. There are many historic buildings and museums and one very special lighthouse. Beautiful technically too. Yeah. We're actually staying in the keeper's duplex for the Point Wilson Lighthouse. Should we talk about Mel? Yeah, yeah, good friend of the pod. Amy actually introduced us via social media to Mel, who is the keeper of the light. What a title? So yeah, good stuff. So we connected with her so we could come up here and converge on the the lighthouse property. We got a very exclusive tour of the lighthouse, yeah we did. Yeah, and the haunted buildings and this what does it called it? Fort Fort Warden Warden, Yeah, we Warnen Morden it's hard to say fort Warden, ward Warden. Yeah, it's hard to the tea followed by the deep. It's yeah, it's a thing. We went all the way up to the tippy top of the lighthouse and they had recently, I don't remember how recently. She said, they turned on their lens so that it's actually spinning now because uh, I guess lighthouses don't do that anymore, which is like they have automated like a separate light outside of the lighthouse that's automated that lights up. So this one they're like, they said they're gonna light it soon, right, Yeah. Yeah. I think as she said, it was like very very recent that it just started speady, like if we had calm on the original dates, it wouldn't have been spinning, right yeah, true, Yeah, the things that could have played out differently if Christina hadn't gotten COVID. So thank you for taking one for the team. So it feels like it was all worth it now. I think everything happens for a reason, you know. That's what my dad says all the time, and I'm like, no, I don't like it. It's like it's shitty. When it's like a really bad thing that happens when people say that. But yeahs liked good one, that's not that bad. So it's like the you were saying last night. It's the thing grandparents say. Oh yeah, I forget how it's phrased, but I mean it's basically like, you leave it up to God or in God's will, but like all this Spanish, if God's willing, and you're like, no, no, Grandma, I said, I was going to call you tomorrow, And they're like, if God's willing, it's up to His Lord and saviors grace, and I'm like, I just know, let's stop. The what you're saying is I'm already a grandma. Okay, gotcha, gotcha Mexican grandma. Yeah. I guess that sums it up. Hashtag goal. So we're actually going to hear from Mel from the past. We did a little recording from inside the lighthouse inside where she told us about some of the history, so I think I'm just going to insert that right here. So we're here with Mel, keeper of the Light, and she's going to tell us a little bit about the history of this beautiful lighthouse that we just walked all the way up to the tippy top of thank you for being here, and welcome to Point Wilson Light Station. I am Mel the keeper, and what we're standing in is the nineteen thirteen Point Wilson Lighthouse. The original lighthouse was built in eighteen seventy nine, which is the unit that you're staying in the keeper's duplex, and it was for various reasons, one of them being the need for a foghorn signal built. The current one that we're standing in, which is beautiful and very neat. We have our historic forre Neell lens. It's a fourth order lens and it rotates and flashes red every twenty seconds, and so it's at the top and soon we'll be able to relight our lamp, which is a neat thing, so you got to see it rotate. In nineteen thirteen, the present tower that we're in and the fog signal building were built. The light atop the keeper's house was moved to the new tower and new fog signals were installed. And in nineteen thirty this baby got electricity. What did they do before the electricity? So before it was kerosene and wick, there was a clockwork system in this lighthouse where they would kind of like a grandfather clock would pull and it would rotate the lens. And at one point pre electricity, also there was kerosene and lighthouses did use whale oil. Ie. No, thankfully we're in different times. But yeah, it was just a historical fact. And whales they do have rights. Whales do have rights. I did want to say that David M. Littlefield, who was the very first keeper and stayed in the keeper's duplex. So it's always good to point out the keepers on the property, especially the first one. So shout out to the little Fields. And you may or may not know this because it's sort of a historical thing, but it says that the light at Point Wilson was extinguished during World War Two for defense purposes. Was that something that they did nationwide? It was the mission of the United States Lighthouse Society is to preserve and share the history and legacy of America's lighthouses and their keepers. So we're in the business of saving lighthouses. And hopefully this is a good platform or a launching pad for your listeners as well as yourselves to maybe go visit some lighthouses and show us some support. So next time you're there, maybet itself. Yeah. Yeah, So there are several lighthouses that you can actually stay in. One of them obviously as ours, it's overnight vacation rentals. But we also have the Dungeness Spit Lighthouse, which is located at the tip of the Dungeness Spit, which is the largest sand spit in North America. Uh. And you can sign up to be a keeper for a week for a fee. You stay out there, they'll take you in a truck, which is pretty cool. It's beautiful and kind of drop you off and you're responsible for some of the upkeep and giving tours and things. Uh huh. So if you're in Washington state area and do you ever want to come stay at a lighthouse or be a keeper, we have some options. So yeah, next contrap, we're gonna be lighthouse keepers. But thanks for coming to show us some support. All the proceeds that we make do fund our restoration efforts and so everything that which is really beautiful about our property. So the overnight accommodations. It takes a lot to maintain a lighthouse, and so yeah, thank you, thank you so much for coming out and showing support. Thank you, thanks for showing us around. I do have to clear up, Okay, we have to talk about the ghosts. So clear it up for everyone, because I'm going to tell them some scary stories that I'm going to need you to just set their minds at ease. This particular lighthouse I don't believe is haunted. There are many lighthouses across the country that do have a lot of activity, but not our lighthouse. So it's very peaceful, and I haven't experienced anything supernatural, even staying in the keeper's house. Even staying in the keeper's house, nothing What about Oh, you said your cat likes to look at things. Though my cat does like to look at things for long periods of time. It's quite interesting and odd because you know how cats sometimes just stare at weird directions. It's not like a something, it's like up at something. So never know. Hopefully it's like the good protector spirits, like, yeah, yeah, there's nothing restless here, that's for sure. The fourth that we're in there is story though, correct, There are stories, and I've had some I guess you would call it first hand experiences with some odd things. And also some very close friends of mine that I used to work with have had very I would say scary encounters creepy. How about we say creepy, we say creepy creepy. Yeah, so very interesting stuff. I don't disbelieve, but I always like to, you know, skeptic, healthy skepticism. My question is have you ever stayed on the other side of the duplex? No? I have not. My side is there's no activity. Yeah, my side is good. So is it the Is it the west wing that we're staying on? Okay, each side west wing? Yeah. I can't wait to tell you my stories. Even that newspaper story there is a haunted places and it's about a lady who wanders around in a white flowy dress and maybe she's waiting on her hobby to come back that never did, and that she also likes to open drawers and it's almost like she's cleaning or something. Nothing. Yeah, So that's the peaceful right, a peaceful entity story if there is. Yeah, So don't be afraid to come and stay because it's not. It's not scary. It's not that scary. Caitlyn can do it. Anyone can do it. But I've but I honestly have never had any guest complaints or any guests uh say that they've experienced anything in either unit, and I personally have never experienced anything either. In the newspaper article pre the Lighthouse Society taken over restoration of this party, people would come down here and at night they would see something in this window right here. So on your way out, take a peek and let me know what you think. I'm and keep it's about the third window up. I won't tell you my theory, but I will leave that one on the table. Time travel noises. So we're back. Hi. How is that history lesson? Did you love it? It was amazing? We loved it best. So why are we here? It's not just for history, obviously, we're going to talk about some ghosts. Oh okay, I thought I was going to say oysters. You did have oysters? You have oysters? Do you want to talk about your oysters? I feel like I'd just be delaying the inevitable their ghosts now, so it doesn't even matter true. So I'm going to tell you guys some stories about the ghosts that haunt the this very building that we're sitting in right now, where we slept the past two nights. Yeah, I knowed from night one. We'll talk about that. I'll have you tell your stories at the very end after we go through these, because it's interesting. Great. I love it when you say interesting with that evil glint in your eyes. Excited. I mean, we kind of heard a little bit of it from Mel already, but there is actually there's a little bit more in here that I have. So okay, are you ready? Yes, former keepers wives have told stories of seeing another woman around their home and property. I know, but it wasn't some like shady Shenanigans going on with their husbands. The woman is actually a misty apparition and a long white dress with what I refer to as the poofy skirts. Ooh, the poofy skirt. Yeah, like I do hoopskirt. I do like the motion too with my hands. We all saw it. No one's seeing it, and I'm still doing it. You look like you're trying to take off. Yeah, well we're seeing it and it's really good something. I'm gonna wear a poofy skirt and I'm gonna pad it just like the Oh hell yeah. They would hear footsteps when no one else was in the home. They would hear sounds of someone going through cupboards and drawers. So not sure if she's like tidying up or she's going about yeahing or going about like her routine routine and a past life. But she does like to, you know, rattle around in the cupboards and drawers. Okay, And then they would often see her and she would disappear through a window or a wall. Oh, so very clear that she's not a human person. Yeah, well, I mean you wouldn't want to be confused about that. That clears it up. Yeah, I mean I guess she's human, but she's just not living. Yeah, Like that's a pretty key component. I don't know, and it's overrated. So they didn't know exactly who this woman was, but speculated it could be someone named Maria who was coming back to find her child that tragically drowned out here in the ocean. Which mel actually did confirm that story. She did. Yeah, it was off the record, though. Do we want to see what she said? There was like a family living here and they lost a little child. They don't she didn't say if it was a boy or girl, right, I don't think. I don't think she did. Yeah. The stories that I found too were like it was a girl, it was a boy, So I just wrote a child because yeah, and even even she said, people have seen a little girl. But then in one another building they saw a boy. Oh yeah, another of the buildings on was it the school school building? Yeah, yeah, where we we found an orb. We took a picture at night and it definitely was not the reflection of the light in the camera lens. It was an ORB. Okay, it definitely was. Yes, absolutely, Thank you guys. You make me feel so validated. Well, I'm an enabler and validators. Yeah, same, Okay, this is why we all get along. I also talked to Mary from the Olympic Peninsula Paranormal Society. I said that in one shot, that's amazing, good for you. And she told me when they were investigating here that they used the SD's method, which we all we talked about it yesterday. But I'm going to go through what it means. Okay, good, yeah, just in case some people don't remember, right, right, right? Yeah? Some people. Yeah, So they actually caught something very interesting when they did this method. And this is when someone listens to a spirit box through noise canceling headphones and they're blindfolded, so they're really focused on hearing the words that come through, and then the person listening says whatever they're hearing out loud while the people on the outside are asking questions. Yeah, that sounds good. The yeah, the bible to person doesn't know what the other people are asking, and yeah, yeah, I think it is kind of cool because when you're when you're playing it out loud and there's multiple people around, it's kind of hard sometimes to decipher what is actually coming through, and then you know what questions are being asked, so that can like skew your your listening yearsults. Yeah, yeah, I'm still sad of that. My spirit box didn't arrive in time. Oh my gosh, I know kind have done that s method in this lighthouse. We'll do it. We will do it somewhere else. We'll do well, maybe something closer to home soon. Yes, So what came through when they were doing this method was a little it sounded like a little girl saying window with the light in it. Oh, so like obviously she's talking about the lighthouse. Yeah, yeah, do you remember what mel was saying they when we were in the lighthouse. She didn't say what, but she said that there are stories about people saying that they think they see somebody in the third window up in the lighthouse, and she was like, I'm not gonna say or you know, yeah, share the speculation, but I think I know why. I need to know why. Maybe it's a little girl who just like likes to play around in the window with the light in it. That's so sweet. Yeah, I don't know if I would say sweet. How you say that's terrifying. I think it's sweet. I mean, if I were Zach Begans, I would think that that's a demon child, so he may not be alone in that all children. I can't wait to share that. We stood where Zach Begins stood himself, and they were like, punch us ghosts. No, we didn't do that because we're respectful, but yeah, we stood in the same attic. I'm so excited to talk about that, but not the story, Okay. She said, they've also seen the apparition of a man that they think is possibly one of the former keepers. And I found a story of a coast guardman that was staying here in the west wing of the house, which is the side of the house that we are staying on, and he claimed that he felt someone standing behind him while he was cooking right there in this kitchen that's next to us. And when he turned around, there was a man there who shouldn't have been there. I agree, because if there had been a man in here at any point this weekend, I would have been like, you shouldn't be here. Yeah, no men allowed girls weekend. Yeah, thankfully we didn't see any men. Yeah, maybe we just couldn't see him. Well, I'm kind of glad now I literally would have died on the spot. I'm glad I didn't tell you this before too. But apparently when he asked around, the other locals said like, yep, that's a thing that happens. They see a man around this, in this house, around the property. And he promptly moved to the east wing of the house. Interesting, the one where Mele typically stays. Huh Mel's like, I have not seen a single thing. And then you were like, just to confirm what we are, we in that's the west wing. Mind, in the safe wing. The guests can stay in the haunted way. Yeah, there was another man staying here and he was sleeping downstairs, which I assume is on the couch that I've been sleeping on. Cassie's preferred yes, it's a very comfortable couch. I'm not gonna lie like I would sleep there. Yeah all the time. I'm just going to stay Yeah. So he was sleeping and he woke up abruptly to cold, squeezing hands around his neck. His neck. Yeah, what the hell? No, thank you? Wow, I just like got really cold around my neck. No way weird, nothing was squeezing. I actually did just get out of cold myself too. I think he's I don't have my sweater. He It was just like, because we're talking about chili topics, Yeah, it's nothing to do. It was the fact that I ran around the whole house before we sat down and turned off all the eaters. Just kidding. I know, you're like, you're like, uh not blushing. What is that when you're like kind of like red and sweaty and like, oh am, I you look like you're hot. I have been really hot. Flushed? Is that what you? Yes? Yes, thank you, you're blushing. It look like a bit flushing, like a what a beat? Yeah? Do I look like a beat? Like when I get old? Beaty? I do your beauty little woman? God. Well, anyway back to this man. So, after he had woken up, by getting choked out. He sat up and opened his eyes amazingly, like he was able to sit up, which is I thought, was like, that's really good that you weren't like paralyzed like with the sleep prolysis. But he saw a woman running away through the kitchen, so running past his dining room that we're sitting in right now, through the kitchen. Wow. And I wonder if it's because he was a man that maybe yeah, yeah, yeah, maybe she don't like it. She's a man hater, Maria. Maybe that's why she likes us. Yeah, okay. But he chased after her and realized that she was nowhere to be found. So there's yeah, there's not many places to go. You would know if she went outside, because there's like two doors to open. Yeah, and then like there's a bathroom and I don't know this like pantry over here, but there's like, yeah, nowhere to get out without someone knowing that you got out. Yeah, he has seen her. Oh that's creepyting. But that does go with the stories too of the old keeper's wives who saw her like disappear in the walls and like go through windows. So just Maria, Maria, I see what you did there? What is that? Is that a song? Oh? Oh? I was just saying Maria twice, But that's true. That is a song I don't think about. Wow, Okay, I didn't like make a very great transition. Transition transition, there you go. Have you heard of the Paranormal Investigation of Historic America investigators? I think paranormal Investigators of Historic America. No, but that sounds so neither do exactly That's what I thought. Please. Well, they came and investigated this West Wing and they said they didn't get any action downstairs. Oh okay, okay, well we stayed upstairs with the fuck yeah. One of the investigators this is what I was reading, and I was like, I can't tell you now. Yeah, this is the part. Okay. One of the investigators felt someone touch her on the shoulder. Oh sh And they brought the EMA freader over to her and the dial lit all the way up, but only on the side of her that she felt like was touched. Oh my god, did we bring the EMA Oh okay, I'm getting ahead of myself here. Okay. Should we tell your story? Yes? If fits right in yes, okay, So what happen to you Caitlin when we got here and we were looking around leave. I slept up there by myself. I could see why you didn't tell us. Yeah, yeah, ah, it makes so much sense why I slept with the door open to both nights. Yeah, I feel like I normally do that. No, I don't, no, not at all. Let's see, So I think. I think I had my overnight bag on the bed, and I was kind of pulling out some of the clothes and stuff and just getting settled in for you know, our stay here. And I had my back to the door in the hallway, and you guys had come upstairs and were in the hallway moving around checking things out. Christina was like down a little more, looking maybe into the other room, and I was sitting there like looking towards you and talking to you. I think, yeah, And I felt something brush up against the back of my leg, like in a weird spot, like kind of like the back of my knee, but like a part of my leg where it couldn't have been the comforter or something on the corner, like lightly brushing it. It also was cold, and we touched the comforter and the comforter was not cold. Yeah, we heard you yelp, and I ran from the other room and I was like, what happened? Yeah, I kind of forgot that. This man said that he felt cold hands around his neck. So that's interesting, very disturbing. Yeah yeah, I mean yeah, we, like you, tried to recreate the feeling and it wasn't happening. He couldn't do it. Maybe it was a mattress, but the mattress was like lower thing where you were touched like it was like not nothing was like that. There was nothing at the right height, nothing positioned at like the right angle. I couldn't replicate it no matter what, and I tried. I tried real hard because I wanted to be like, no, it was that Harrything's fine. So then I was like, okay, no one touched my friends. They don't want to be touched. If you need to touch someone, you can touch me. And that's when we decided that Cassie would be sleeping downstairs because I don't even want to be next to a person being touched by. You can't sleep in the bed with me, you can't say it does. I desperately need to be touched, you guys, even if it's by well, someone who's passed even though it's my cold dad hand really should have slept upstairs in that bed then, because you didn't stop there. So yeah, okay, let me tell this. There's one last story and it's cute, and then we can talk about the other thing that happened too, because of course everything that happened here happened to Caitlin. Yeah. I don't want this. I said nothing was going to happen to me, because nothing ever does happen to me. I think I'm just like dead to it. I feel like the shield up too. I think that I have, but I think mine is like from wanting it too badly. Yeah, yeah, and I don't know. I've just never seen anything, even though literally everyone ns around me and my twin has seen everything everywhere we stayed at except for me, even my own house. And I'm like, man, I've really never seen anything sowhere. I'm not fair. Well, I like it this way, maybe some like I said, I'm a little bitch die. But you're like, I'll go to the cemetery in the dark with you because I don't think i'll see anything, and You're like, yeah, nothing's gonna happen. I hope I'm with you when it happens. Actually, yeah, that'd be cool if we both saw something for like the first time. Well, good thing, there would be someone else there to revive me. Yeah, Like I said, I would die on the spot. I just I'd probably throw up and then over Oh my gosh, I can't take her anywhere. Can you imaginef you're shooting like a ghost hunting shell and oh god, Mama, so she's possessed. Oh gosh. Okay, well, this last story is really it's kind of sweet. Well, I Caitlin would like it, but I mean to do so. When they were investigating, they saw a shadow in the room I think it was one of the rooms upstairs, and at the same time, the EMF meter went off by the window and they speculated that it was a ghosty cat in the window. That is cue because I guess it was like right by the wind, like in this little area on the window. Still, okay, so so yeah, didn't Mel say something about a ghost cat somewhere? Yeah? I think it was in like one of the other buildings. Yeah, yeah, she mentioned a ghost cat story. I wonder if it roams around like two different buildings on the fort. Yeah, that makes sense. That is cute. That is very cute. But maybe you wouldn't be allergic to a ghost cat, I would say, I mean it doesn't have dander, Yeah, so you might like it. Yeah. Yeah, that's all I gotta do is just find myself a dead cat. Yeah, there's a ghost cat at man Rasa too. Yeah, that's right. We'll talk about it later. But yeah, okay, So tell your other story of the other thing that happened to you. Oh yeah, I feel like it falls in line with sort of the female ghost stories that yeah, like cleaning up, tidying up. I was going to say, potentially tidying maybe kind of trying to be like, you know, kind or helpful. You know, maybe when you're a ghost you don't realize how spooky it is to have things moved around unexplained. But yeah, so let's see, I fell asleep in my AirPods because that's just what I do every night. But I'm used to waking up and one of them is still in one of my ears, and the other one is usually like underneath my pillow. It's usually pretty close. It doesn't fall far, right, because like, what are you doing at night? Like flailing around and flinging. Mean, sometime I do a lot of uh, I do my floor routine. Actually I don't know if you know this, but I'm actually a gymnast. Oh yes, yeah, only in my sleep. Yeah. So I woke up after our first night here and I was like, oh, where the hell is my other AirPod? Like I cannot find it, And so I pick up the pillow. I kind of start by looking in, you know, the spots on the bed where I've always found them. The next morning, I'm picking up all of the pillows and I looked on the floor right next to the bed. I okay, well this is weird, Like it couldn't have gone far right. You would think, you would think, you would think. And I started feeling like alongside the mattress and in between the bed frame. I looked underneath the bed, which after being touched at the corner of the bed the night before, was terrifying. But uh, let's see where else. So then I took out the duvet and like kind of shook it. I shook the sheet. I got on the bed, and I'm like rubbing down like the whole surface of the bed. I flattened out the pillows to make sure I didn't accidentally like shove it inside of the pillow in my sleep. Yeah. Would you say you're patting it down like you were looking for weapons? Yeah? I was. I was. I was patting that bad boy down like I was in the TSA for sure. For sure, just giving a little scoopy grop, right, yeah, and give it a good wanding if you will. I mean, what are you supposed to do? Like, I don't want to just have like a missing air pod, you know. And it was starting to get really weird because I had like torn apart this whole fucking bed and I'm like, where is my AIRPN? Yeah? Yeah, you should have seen it? Yeah, yeah, I should have. And I'm like feeling because you know, the sheets are white, so I'm thinking, well, maybe I won't see it, so I should just feel around all the whole bed and make sure it's not in there. And then I turned around because I was gonna go and get in the shower because I was like, well, I don't have time for this, And then I turned back to grab something off the nights Dan. My AirPod was in the middle of the bed. That is like it's so cool though, It's like but it but like you had to have hidden the AirPod from me to be able to then put it. Maybe you know, somehow fell somewhere you just didn't you find it, yeah, gradually for you and place it on the bed, but also like it could have just taken it, yeah, to mess with it. Yeah, funny. You know what's horrifying. And I don't know if it's just Mexico, but in Mexican folklore like if things go Missine's it was a blende like a little are you not supposed to say that? I mean I say it all the time, Oh my gosh. Okay, So we had someone send us a story and they're like, you're not supposed to say that this thing but it starts with this letter and it rhymes with something else. And then you looked it up and you're like, I really want to say it out loud right now, and you're like, why do I have this weird urge to like say this out loud? And then I kept like this keeps coming up in like different podcasts. I keep hearing it being said, and two girls when ghost is talking about it one time, they said it like a thousand times, and I was like I heard people like because I talk about them on TikTok all the time, really say all the time. My family has a bunch of stories. Everyone says the words like I never heard. Don't say it because it'll summon them interest because like according to Mexican folklore, they're already in your house. You either see them or you don't. I wonder if it's like just this specific family. It's like, yeah, it's probably like regional or something. But like because the literal word it means owner of the house, that's like yeah, and they're like said to live in the walls and it's supposed to either bring you luck or they mess with you. But if you if you things go missing, they're taking them and then you have to like give me my ship back or respectfully either one, you know, and then it appears interesting. But yeah, that's why I'm like, I think I'd rather be this nice ghost lady that's just like rearranging things one there. Yeah, that makes sense. My theory was that originally that she had touched you and then like was apologizing to you. But now I kind of think, what if like the cat rubbed against your leg, Oh, what was it a rubbing or was it like a grab wasn't a grab. Yeah, it was more of a rab Yeah, like you like, they know that I'm allergic, so they always come up and they're like, I'm always The height of where you were touched could match the height of a cat. That's exactly what I was thinking. What a cat? What if the cat took your AirPod and was like batting it around and playing with it. And then she was like, the fucking cat took someone ship again, I gotta let's just put it back. Okay. I like it. I feel better now, Yeah, still like I'm still ready to go home. Though. I have to say I did not bring at the frider in this house because we're staying in here. I did. It's scared. I did last night, I remember, because it was only going off by the heaters. Oh that's right, that's right, And I had that has to be something to do with the heat itself. And yeah, but it was like all the way up at the heaters and I'm sitting directly in front of the heater, and I'm like, is this way I'm like getting tired, And I would argue with the heat, there's also a heater in the kitchen, Like it's not directly behind the oven. But I'm like, I don't know if that because I know em like messed with your mind a little bit, So I didn't try it upstairs though. Yeah, we did doing maybe right before we leave. Yeah, okay, well we have to go together, and we do have interesting stories about the em Freeder at another place that we're going to be talking about in the future. Yeah. That was wild. That was so cool though. I'm so glad we did that. Tease teeth. Well, we still have to do the tarot. Sorry. When you started talking about the emf memories and my ears went like, that's weird. Yeah, I got like a weird you know, like when you need to like you have to like swallow on an airplane, like, yeah, weird. It won't stop. All right, Okay, I've already done. I did it a pretty solid shuffle. Oh you know how I feel about that. Oh wait, before you guys do this, you think we can share a Mel's picture story or no, what wuch picture story? Yeah? Yeah, let's talk about it. Yeah. So apparently this lighthouse because this was the former lighthouse and they moved it to the other light house. But it's not the only haunted building in this whole place. Like there's a bunch of little buildings that Mel took us to, which was super cool. I was like, this is great. One of them being the school and she said that there's people that will quit right away, like they'll start working just because things happen. She's never seen anything, and like, good for her, seriously, but yeah, some people is quit and one of those people it was at the schoolhouse and we took that to it. I don't think we saw anything, but the orb you mentioned it. And she had said that the school that is the one place where she has for sure seen something and they just cannot track down the camera phone photo that shows the little boy in the window. Yeah, so she was I think a friend took a picture of in front of the schoolhouse and the whole schoolhouse you can see it behind him. And then he showed her the picture and in the picture, he hadn't even noticed it because he was, you know, in the picture himself. And then when he showed it to Mel, there's a little boy in the third floor window. Uh, and he hadn't seen her and he was so freaked out, obviously, and she said he has he has not stayed late inside of this place since that happened to him, and then they can't find the picture. She physically saw the picture, like there's no there was no way for him to doctor it make like addings in. Right, It's probably like a flip camera phone. You know, nobody's photoshopping, right. But yeah, and I don't know, did you guys get any weird vibes because we only saw the outside of the school. We just like drove by it. But I don't, I don't ever get. I kind of get weird vibes sometimes, but I only got weird vibes at the other place we're going to talk about. Yeah, yeah, that was crazy where Zach Began stood himself. Bagans are bagans, I don't know, honestly, literally call him and on uh and that's why we drink. They always call him like a specific name and I never remember. Yeah, they yeah, they feel like it rites with pepperoni, bagel bites, bagel bites. That's oh my god, you guys, do you remember I was going to bagel bites here last night, so close to get zach Began's delivered. Do you think if we say his name enough times we might summon him? I think so it's like beetle Juice Baggins. Yeah, we saw the school from the outside and like I didn't I was looking at the window. But maybe we just weren't there long enough. It was late. So what was the other building that we walked around inside of with mel though? That was the that was like the juvenile Detentions enter. I goes, there's a couple of spots where it was like I had out the whole Is this the one that has a radio station in now? Yeah? Okay, I had the MFI raader the whole time. We were in green the whole time, no matter where we went inside the building. And that's the super weird thing about them, Freeder Like in other places where like you know, the Manrisa hotel where we were at, there was specific spots that were so like lit up, and then like other spots that weren't. And even in here there are spots that's like green. And that building that we went to, it was green completely the whole time. So I feel like maybe some of it is just knowing that it you know, yeah, what it was before. True, you're also sensitive, so you're probably sponging up whatever like emotional energy was laying around and the opposite of sensitively. Yeah, so if anyone was going to feel something, it was going to be you. Yeah, I don't know. I mean I didn't feel like That's the other thing is like kind of more recently, like learning a little bit better, like how to sense whether there is something there, but whether or not it's like a truly like if it feels malevolent, you know, if it feels like darker or ill intentioned. So sometimes there can be something there, but I feel like I don't know why, but I feel like there's it's an eerie feeling. It's not scary per se. I don't know boom scary. The other spot to remember, she said that the I forget what they call the house, but number eleven, Oh, it's the it's the Non Commissioned Officers housing. They're like low of houses and then yeah they're like what three two story houses maybe yeah, and number eleven she said, was like there's no stories, but she got we're feeling there. Yeah, mel I think has said she's never really experienced anything specific, but that whenever she's been into number eleven, she has gotten a very uncomfortable and eerie feeling. She doesn't like to go there at night. She doesn't generally like to be there by herself. It sounds like, and I don't blame her. Yeah, and it did. And maybe it's because she told us, But it did look like that one from the outside, and as soon as we pulled up to that one, that one felt the creepiest from the outside. So for what it's worth, I mean, I like number eleven. I don't want to think it's creepy. It's my lucky number of the day. Yeah, and you're the creepiest person I know. So like, I feel like if the shoe fits, it checks out, maybe it's a sign I need to break in there allegedly on the way out, allegedly, let's do it allegedly? Should we talk about the castle really quick too, even though it's not like haunted or anything. But yeah, so cute there is that story. Oh yeah, oh that was like, yeah, mister Alexander. Do you remember his name? Just Alexander name or we don't know Okay, well we don't know something Alexander, so we'll call him mister Alexander. He met someone, a beautiful lady. He wanted to marry her, and she was like, you can marry me, but only if you build a castle for me. And Hi made it as much. Yeah. Yeah, maybe she said it thinking he wouldn't do it, like I think so, And he did do it. He built it five years later, and he sent for his love and then she had already met someone else. What a bitch? I know, Come on, you don't want to marry someone, just say help? Have you guys watched five hundred Days of Summer? Yes, okay, so when you first watch it when you're younger, you're like, oh my gosh. She's like she's leading him on. But from the beginning she was like, I don't want anything serious. Oh, totally hated it something it wasn't. So I'm thinking that mister Alexander made it something it wasn't. Yeah, And they went all out for no reason, even though she's like, you're not going to do this but the castle and maybe yeah, I don't know, so I don't want to. I don't know. But then how do we we know that it's not totally clear? We certainly can't like verify it with you know, any certainty as far as historical accuracy. But oh but the legend, yes, how do we think this landed? Should we I mean, do we want to share that story? I mean, why not? The story is that everyone knows of this area. But yeah, so he after'm so she did not marry him. Then he died by sulicide, had his own hand. He couldn't take it. Yeah, he couldn't handle it. And yeah, the castle was still there. It's beautiful. It's so cute, so small. There's plenty of other pussy in the world, like was hers just like the magical of all magical pussies, like what was so special? Love you monsters. They're a monster. And have you seen this castle? Okay, it's like so fucking cute. It is the cutest castle ever. I wish I could live in it, mister Alexander. She doesn't deserve that castle. Yeah, I hope it's well, we don't know which way it went. I mean, but you know, the the idea that he would, you know, then die by completing suicide in that beautiful castle. That's kind of sad, But I hope that like all of the single ladies in the town saw this castle and we're like right single now and like tried to hit him up, and he found the love of his life and they lived in this beautiful just died at old age together. But the story, the funner Urban Lands spread around is that he died by his own hand in the castle, because then you can say, oh, what if he's like there now I see, well, is there anything else? Or I know, I'm like sorry, I keep thinking of all I had. The two that I had off the top was like, for sure we wanted to talk about the school thing, the cabin on eleven or whatever it's called. Oh, we didn't get to go up there. But Mel also pointed out, I think kind of by the castle area, there's like a road and if you go up there, not in car, but hike up there, there's bunkers. Oh yeah, have stories about the bunkers that they see things up there. It's creepy. It's a spooky vibe. But we didn't go up there. Yeah, we said, you know what it's called, we leave them. Yeah yeah, cold star Yeah yeah. So if I had like a bigger jacket, it might have been like more time ago, yeah, yeah, next time we're big jackets, nicer. Yeah, because I was already like hungry at that point. Some trail mix with us bigger jackets, flash lights, Sperry box and then we can go up there next time. We got this. Yeah, so that's another supposedly haunted spot. And this just this little port not even because like obviously this sport is in Port Townshend. But then there's other haunted places outside of the fort, so many haunted places. Yeah, all these are just inside this fort, which is beautiful, a beautiful place. Yeah. So we mentioned an eagle earlier and we actually just came back from seeing an eagle like having lunch on a tree, and it was like tearing this other animal apart and like ripping this other animal apart. It was the coolest thing was I felt like we were watching animal pane. I know, l you gotta put like my David David Attenborough voice on. Yeah, I don't know. I can't. I'm not striking the right balance because he doesn't he doesn't have the Australian lilt to it. But you know, I'm gonna work on it, okay and go back to us. That'll be a really fun thing for TikTok me trying to meet at and Burrow. There's a little eagle. We have so many videos of this. It's like Steve Irwin. Maybe maybe I just Irwin it because I don't know if I can and burrow it. I wonder if we could do a seance and have the ghost of Steve Irwin possess you and do tiktoks. That is that's a lot. That'd be cool. No offense to his family. We love him literally. Okay, we should do the tarot. Yeah, let's do Okay, I'm gonna shuffle one more time. I'm like, lighthouses make me a go Oh. Interesting, it's funny. You mentioned an eagle. I don't think. I think it's a hawk. Yeah that is interesting. Yeah, interesting, let's just say it was an eagle. Yeah, it's I wonder if there is an eagle in the deck. There probably is, I would think so it's a red tailed hawk. So in the Little Book of the PNW Deck it has a little story of this hawk. What goes through a bird's head the first time they try to fly? As they hop off the edge and plummet toward the ground, are they feeling trepidation, fear, a sense of rightness driven by the force of instinct, and as they open their wings to catch the air, gaining altitude and control for the first time, did they feel relief? Accomplishment, joy in finding their purpose in performing the action that every aspect of their body has evolved for question mark, is each unique in their own reactions, feelings and eagerness to step off the edge or do they just fly? Okay? I like it? Yes, okay. Two of one's are keywords are developing goals, involvement in a creative project, taking action, and choices the whole I was reading that. I feel like this is a reading about us and like what we're doing. Yeah. Right, this card shows you taking action to accomplish something you feel passionately about. A creative project, a business, or an adventure. Perhaps three of us. You may have to make a choice between two options, or bring two actors together to achieve success. Maybe do podcasts? Was going to interesting in my brain and you need to get out. It makes me itchy. That is all right. You're beginning to assert yourself taking charge of an endeavor. Upright. The two shows you waiting to see results in a venture. You feel confident of your success. You may accept advice or assistance from someone else, but you won't compromise your position or leadership. Yeah. The top of the White House really slowly. Yeah, basically there's legs. Yeah. In a reading about money, this card indicates you may benefit from other people's guidance, ideas, and encouragement, but want to make it on your own rather than depending on others. I mean, I'd like to depend on your guys, So I mean I think that I feel like that's different dependent. Oh interesting, Yeah, I think this is about us. In a reading about work, the two shows you investing lots of energy in an endeavor, take charge, and don't let other people stand in your way, dissuade you, or diminish your enthusiasm. Oh yeah, we make things happen. We do. In a reading about love, the two upright suggests you're building a rewarding partnership. Sometimes it represents a creative relationship in which it says two people. But I think they're saying that because it's the two of ones. Obviously it's two people to two groups inspire and encourage each other. Yeah, women and inspiring and encouraging other women. Women's the partying women. Yeah, I said that, like really long bit women's history monks so much is it? Oh interesting? You're right, look at us go and we got all of those books about the women light housekeepers. We did did and meld a woman lighthouse keeper. She is the keeper of the lights, like women's title. Yeah, so cool. Well I found these lighthouse playing cards, and maybe we can draw one of these, yeah, because we're like we like to draw from regular decks sometimes, Yeah, we do. So we're going to see and then we'll have to like remember what they all mean. Hopefully we can. Okay, nine of hearts switches cups. That sounds right. Didn't we look this up at some point? I can, I can look at it, but I'm pretty sure it's I think you're right. I do know what this means. I kept seeing I kept seeing a cups card as well. If it is cups, so I feel like that's right. Yes, nine of cups. Hopefully it's good, not bad. We just delete this part. It is good. I mean, there's no I know coming from the people who say there's no okay. Our keywords are wishes come true, good luck, happiness, abundance, and generosity. We got a lot of generosity this weekend, a crazy amount. Yeah. Often called the wish card, the nine of Cups is one of the most fortunate of all cards and bodes well in any reading. Some decks show a wealthy person, perhaps a tavern owner or innkeeper. What the what sharing his or her largess with others? Filling their cups? I want to say, mel filled. Yes, she overflowed our cup. She really Yeah, you've achieved a position of comfort, abundance, and happiness. Now you eagerly share your warmth, love, good cheer, and other goodies with people you care about. The universe is smiling on you. We got a lot of goodies too. We got so many goodies. In a reading about money, you can expect good fortune when this card appears, an investment pays off, you get a raise, maybe even win the lottery. Where were those numbers? You were talking about getting lottery tickets because our horoscopes gave us numbers. That's crazy. Okay, let's get us let's do it. Yeah, and when we win, then we can make a sizeable donation to the Lighthouse Society. We can lighthouse. That was our other plan, Okay, all right. Rather than hoarding your loot, however, you share some with others. Okay, absolutely, yeah. There's no point in being rich alone, and it's no fun. It's true if the reading is about your job. The nine of cups suggests a promotion or landing the job of your dreams. Yeah, we can all. We've been talking about quitting our jobs all weekend, trying to get hired. Make that you feel fulfilled, happy, and inspired in your work. Whatever you undertake brings success. In a reading about love, you've learned to open your heart and enjoy a richly rewarding love life. This card may describe a joyful, emotionally fulfilling, committed relationship or an abundance of romantic partners. Oh, are we going to be in a relationship? You guys? Are we? I'm just kidding. I know I'm the only gay person here? Is that my gay? Totally? I think they refer to that as my sexual Other words exist, but I kind of like half gay. I'm new here, guys. Yeah, I just got my ancestry D. But turns out I'm fifty percent that bitch. That's me and I just took a sip of coffee. Must spit it out. There's an extra excerpt at the end here, and I think it's kind of fitting. It says nature is held together by the energy of love, which I feel like kind of reminds me of being up in the lighthouse especially, you know, during during the actual tour yesterday, and it's such a beautiful, natural like scenic view. And Mao was talking about how a lot of the people that were keepers, you know, they would see a lot of tragedy in their time just because of the nature of their work, but they also had the opportunity to save a lot of people. Yeah. Yeah, I thought it was really sweet too. And she's like, and now we're here saving the lighthouses because they saved so many other people. Yeah, that was beautiful. She had such good energy, like, here is how she loves this place, loves he loves it, and now I love it too. Yeah. Are we sure we have? I know? Can we just live here forever? I'm down? I wish now that we know we love it? Yeah? Yeah, they could play with the ghost cat all right, Well should we do our our sign of a stay booky, come visit and feel the good vibes. And you know, if you're a man, maybe you don't sleep on the couch downstairs. See you at the lighthouse.
