While visiting my family in Sonora, Mexico, I spoke with a neighbor with a haunting claim: rocks were being thrown at him in plain daylight without an explanation.
I was a bit skeptical, but spoke with him and my uncle who owns the ranch next door. It turns out, it was true. But there was much more to the story. Sightings of supernatural creatures and even a ghost sighting have made workers quit and never come back.
This is an ongoing investigation, but I introduce the mystery and ask for your help in determining the source of the falling rocks.

area has. But it also has these really

creepy stories. And this one begins in November

of 2025. When I was there, I forgot what

I was doing there. But we had this time, like I

guess kind of downtime in this family event, which happened at

my uncle's ranch. And my uncle had been telling me

about his neighbor and his neighbor turned out to have the

strangest experience ever, rocks being thrown at him during the

day while he's there at his little lots, his his little

ranch. Of course, I thought like, OK,

this guy, the throwing rocks doesn't make any sense.

And I didn't think much of it. My my uncle came up to me,

right? And he's like, hey, Ben, Ben,

Ben. I start, he wants to talk in

Spanish, right? And I was like, all right, let's

go. So I walk over and he's telling

me about these rocks that they're throwing in the middle

of the conversation. I'm just like, why didn't I

just are gathering around like it's just how storytelling works

Big rocks, rocks the size of like a grapefruit, rocks the

size of like a, you know, Pebble up until, like, you know, from

What I find strange at all this is that my uncle has, he's very

skeptical. Like he wouldn't make this up.

And as he's telling, you can tell he's kind of nervous.

He's like, like what? Like how is this even happening?

happening? And then we got into something a

little bit stranger, which was sightings of other things out

there in the desert. And that's where we're heading

today, into the desert areas of Mexico, the northern part,

Sonora. I found it fitting.

Let's go. So I let this story kind of sit

there for a while, right? I was thinking, doesn't make any

sense how somebody could be throwing, like maybe it's just

somebody with a slingshot throwing rocks at this guy.

detailed kind of kind of storytelling way of of sharing

to the very beginning, we hear from Rafa.

Rafa is a neighbor. He has a small lot, like I said,

next to my uncle's lots, which is like he turned into a ranch.

He has events and stuff there, a little pool.

He he goes and stays the weekend.

He just wants to get away from like the city sounds and stuff.

So the story goes that during the day while Rafa's working,

everybody there either has like a metal shop, welding shop, wood

shop, something where they stay busy fixing things around the
00:04:19
property. It's kind of like a thing that
00:04:21
they like doing there. Well, while he's working and
00:04:24
he's making fences and whatever, he gets this rock thrown at him.

It just lands right next to him and he's looking at it like
00:04:32
what? What is that right?

And he keeps going. He keeps doing his work.

He turns on the machine to, to Weld over the welding thing and
00:04:40
it goes right. And then he it gets another, he
00:04:44
gets another rock thrown at him. That's when he starts thinking

this is weird because First off, this thing is aiming at him and
00:04:52
also it has hit him. Little rocks have hit him.

Now it happened over and over like enough for him to tell

people about it and risk feeling silly for for sharing such a
00:05:05
story. Like hey, someone's throwing

rocks at me, right? So he goes and tells my uncle,

which is the neighbor. Sometimes they get together to

drink or just hang out or just to say hi, that they probably
00:05:14
don't even like each other the way you could.

They talk to each other. It's like they're just
00:05:20
neighbors. Like, you know, they're,

they're, they have to talk to each other.

And my uncle then starts telling me like, hey, you know what?

They've also thrown rocks at me. So I look at him and I'm like,

are you joking? Like what?

He's like they've thrown rocks at me.

Like sometimes I'm with the saw, I'm working.

And then they hear a boom in the metal roof and how like I'm

listening to him, like, are you serious?

Because my uncle has no, no reason to, to lie about this,

right? To be supporting the neighbors

story of the rocks being thrown. He's like, yeah, like big rocks,

small rocks. Sometimes they get thrown and

they don't move when they land. Like as in they don't roll.

They just hit stop. And he's like, you can go up in
00:06:07
the tin roof in the, in the area and the, you know, the, the,
00:06:10
because it's like metal roofs and the rocks are still there.

They're just there. Where are they coming from?

Who's throwing these things? Who would be throwing rocks?

And the obviously there's a bunch of theories, right?

The whole slingshot theory, maybe somebody actually throwing

them from around there. When I was a little kid, I used

to grab like a 2 liter bottle, like a plastic bottle.

And I used to grab the, you know, the dog food a little,

what they call little kibble things.

And I used to, like, throw them in the air and, like, hit him

until one day the neighbor complained because I simply hit
00:06:47
her in the neck and it hurt. And I remember saying, like, you

liar, like, that doesn't hurt. But she was pissed.

And my mom told me to stop, so I stopped.

But I used to do that. It was fun.

Just throw rocks. And out there in the desert, you

can do a bunch of things. Like, there's little, you know,

like air, what's called air, not airsoft guns, but they're like

little rifles, but they're like air pressure.

And they're used to like, kill birds or scare off things.

I don't know, because there's coyotes out there.

There's a lot of there's a desert, right?

And anyway, I'm here, my uncle talk about this and I'm like,

why? Like what could possibly be

causing this, right? And he's also trying to come up

with explanations like what if the rocks are too hot and they

crack and when they crack they land there?

Or why is it only when the neighbor Rafa is there, we get

rocks? Is he throwing them?

So they blame each other for a little bit.

They have recordings of them like arguing like as in not only
00:07:49
when you're here, I I hear them, I get thrown rocks at and

because like, well, I can say the same thing about you.

Like when you're here, I get rocks through rocks too.

So they're they're talking about like what could possibly be

happening. And the whole time I'm thinking

when this the little people, they they say that, you know,

there's little elves, gnomes that are said to live out in

very empty areas, caves, desert trees, anywhere they can get

away from people. And there's ways to I guess, you

know, get them off your case, which is you give them candy,
00:08:32
you give them toys, give them something to mess with and and
00:08:36
they leave you alone. That's actually have to build a
00:08:38
little house for them as well. Very, very strange stuff to, to
00:08:41
even think that is real, right? It's, it's very strange, but I'm
00:08:45
there listening. It was probably half an hour
00:08:47
that I was listening to, to them talk about what could possibly
00:08:51
be happening. And we just left it at that.

Later on, you know, through WhatsApp and everything, like

communicate with my uncle I we're talking about the desert

and all that stuff and, and the strange things that happened one

day he's like, you know, remember about the rocks.

Still stuff happening. I mean, it's still going on to

this day. And I needed to get some

paperwork done recently, a few weeks ago actually.

And I need to be back there in that town.

And I, he, he called and he's like, hey, they're throwing

rocks right now. Like you should come.

And I was like, Dang it, I have gotten food poisoning.

I'm pretty sure it was food poisoning but not that severe.

But I was really tired as in like I didn't do anything for
00:09:43
like 4 days. And I also had to get I was also
00:09:47
pretty tired too because South by Southwest in Texas had just
00:09:50
happened a lot of other things too like it need to travel.

It was it was very tiring stuff. And it was like back-to-back

trouble like you arrive, boom, get your stuff ready.

The next day you fly out again. So it's very tiring, but finally

got there. I thought it was that I was

exhausted for two days, didn't go.

But I did manage to get back to the ranch one of these days.

And it turns out that I wasn't even expecting to talk with this

guy with El Rafa. My uncle wasn't there.

They are there at the moment, but I was outside jump starting

my my aunt's car. It wouldn't turn on when the
00:10:31
guy's like, hey, is either the one he's still doing paranormal
00:10:34
stuff. And I was, you know, I looked, I
00:10:35
looked his his way and he was like, you want to check it out?
00:10:39
And I was like, sure, like this is creepy, but sure.

And he basically, I went in there, Ben went to his property
00:10:47
along with my cousin's boyfriend, which I kind of I was
00:10:50
like, Hey, you have to come with me because what it is a trap.

You know, what is this a trap? So we went in there and I was

talking, we were basically talking about the, the windows
00:11:03
and then the the whole, the, the whole experience of, you know,
00:11:08
things that have been happening with him.

As I started digging a little bit deeper, I found something

even stranger. Turns out that there had been
00:11:18
sightings of something out there, a ghost in his property.

The story goes. He was building this thing in
00:11:30
his, in his lot, in his ranch, and he had hired a couple of
00:11:34
workers to help out, right? One of them had his wife with
00:11:39
him. Sometimes the wife goes and, and
00:11:41
helps out as well and they, you know, to finish faster or
00:11:45
whatever. And while they were working,
00:11:47
they were up on the roof and they see this guy and he's in
00:11:51
his, in his inside of the property.

So they call out to the owner, Rafa, and they're like, Rafa,
00:11:59
there's someone out there, someone got into your property.

Duff was like, what the heck, Everything's locked.

It's like, yeah, a cowboy Avaquero.

Avaquero just came in and he's like, what?

They they try to look around. They see him run off into the

property, but there's it's a walled area.

There's no way they would see him jump over.

They didn't see anything. Now, the story would be creepy

if it ended there, right? Turns out that these workers,

they got so scared about what happened that they never went
00:12:40
back to finish the job again. It would be creepy up until this

point, right? But then when he mentioned it to

one of the neighbors, the neighbor said, Rafa, I need to

tell you something. We've seen that guy too and

never said anything because I thought that he was one of your
00:13:02
guests. So now that Rafa is like, oh,

Dang, like now you can see something there.

Other times he has said that they he he has seen little
00:13:17
Duennes, little people kind of like a thing just crawling away,

disappearing. And another time now this is

this book. It it gets me.

It gets me because First off, it involved dog, it involves dogs.

And when you think of a dog being hurt, like I don't know

why, but it it just feels so much more serious than when a

person gets hurt. I don't know if you get that

too, but they were seeing this figure like the dogs.

They had two dogs, 2 like Pitbull mixes.

They're really cool. They bark at everybody who walks

by. But if you walk up to the

property and, and you know, they see with the owner, they're the
00:13:50
happiest little things. They'll like wag their tail.

They want, you know, belly rubs and everything.

Anyway, they're barking at this thing at the edge of the

property, like at the far end and they're just barking and
00:14:01
barking and barking and all of a sudden they both take off after
00:14:03
whatever they're seeing out there.

You know, there's rabbits, there's snakes, there's things

out there, right? So they were like, OK, well,
00:14:11
it's, it's nothing. The dogs run out.

One of them starts barking, barking, barking, frozen in
00:14:17
place. And then his hind legs just go

stiff. Obviously everyone's worried.

They're like, oh, no, what what happened?

You know, poor, you know, Fido or whatever.

Fido, I think would be the the name of Spanish, but I think

that's a real name. Fetal lies is the name that they
00:14:38
use for doggies when they don't know, they can't think of a name

and they couldn't find what the heck was wrong with the dog.

Like who what's you know, it could have been an animal sting,

right? Like an insect sting or

something, a bite. I don't know something that did

that. But The thing is that Rafa

thought that the dog was going to die and he had no choice.

Like when you're left with no choice, you do the obvious

thing, right? You go get holy water.

And he went, got holy water put on the dog and the dog started

reacting normally. And the dog was right there

where they're telling me the story and I'm like, the dog

looks fine, nothing's wrong with him.

What could be out there, right? If you've ever been out in those

areas at night, you'll probably understand what I'm talking

about because actually the very first story I ever wrote for,

make it their home. And it's because of all these

there? Why would there be any spirits

out there? Well, it turns out that they're

digging a new Shanghai, like a ditch, like an irrigation system

around those areas and that these entities might not like

changes to the land now out there.

I mean, this land has hasn't been changed in, do you know,

millions of years, right? And when you try to change it,

it can trigger something. At least that's what I found it

like when the poltergeist is there, they move physical things

It just really makes me wonder like about how large or vast,
