Is it possible to change the minds of people through
00:00:04
messaging that's hidden? Like if we send this ray of like
00:00:08
thought to kind of make a person be like, I'm going to buy more
00:00:13
burgers from McDonald's. Or how about this?
00:00:17
Can devil worshippers use the power of like music to get us to
00:00:25
listen to their devil worshipping ways?
00:00:28
Or how about this one? Can a song kill us?
00:00:35
This episode is going to be all about subliminal messaging.
00:00:39
You ready? My name is Edwin and this is
00:00:42
paranormal club. Welcome back Spooky's.
00:00:51
We have a bunch of things going on today.
00:00:53
Actually one of our episodes, the which one the the the why
00:00:58
I'm afraid of witches, the Mexican blue house story.
00:01:01
What kind of viral over on Spotify.
00:01:03
So we got a bunch, a bunch of comments on on that post, a lot
00:01:09
of new members on the from the paranormal club.
00:01:13
So if you see them around, on the around the comments section,
00:01:16
the new usernames, new faces around the little icons
00:01:19
anywhere, please, please also join me in welcoming them.
00:01:22
They're not part of the club and we're here to welcome just about
00:01:26
anybody because that's how we are.
00:01:28
We, we roll, by the way, if you're new, they're going to the
00:01:30
new people here. We're a cool bunch.
00:01:33
Some of us are a little weird, but hey, that's just, that's
00:01:36
just how we roll around here. So welcome, welcome to
00:01:39
Paranormal Club. Super excited that you guys are
00:01:41
here. I actually have a bunch of stuff
00:01:43
to go through during one of our lives.
00:01:45
We, we were talking about making a new, like a new idea for an
00:01:49
episode. And I, I mentioned like, how
00:01:51
about like subliminal messaging in music and stuff, like, you
00:01:55
know how you get all these things?
00:01:56
And yeah, I actually got messages on all this stuff about
00:01:59
like Disney trying to promote things or like hide words in the
00:02:05
background or their their animations, other things about
00:02:10
like SpongeBob and like all these, all these things that are
00:02:12
coming are coming down. But there's some some that I was
00:02:15
like, these are super weird. Like why are people putting the
00:02:19
word? Oh, by the way, by the way,
00:02:21
content warning, content warning.
00:02:22
Sorry, this is a little bit late in in in the episode, but this
00:02:25
episode has mentions of people that have banded their own
00:02:29
existence in the planet. Also mention of drugs, some
00:02:34
sexual wording stuff and we're talking about like heavy metal
00:02:38
just for music and stuff. So it also mentions of like the
00:02:42
devil and like stuff like that. So but I just wanted to give you
00:02:45
a heads up about that. It's, it's slight mention of it
00:02:47
so it doesn't get too graphic in there, but it's that any who,
00:02:51
'cause I was saying there was so much content in there and I'm
00:02:54
like, why do animators in movies do this kind of thing?
00:02:58
But it was weird. It was so weird to find out that
00:03:00
all this stuff is real and it's there.
00:03:02
You can go into the original like DHS, the original DVD's or
00:03:05
whatever and they're there. Like the messaging or the
00:03:08
images, they're actually there pretty strange.
00:03:12
But so I did take a bunch of notes.
00:03:15
There's a lot of us, there's a lot of stuff to to go through in
00:03:17
here. So we're just going to get
00:03:19
started. First off, there is this kind of
00:03:22
a, a personal story. We used to go to church back in
00:03:25
the day, back when we were going to, I guess Catholic Church.
00:03:28
I really practice anymore I don't really do.
00:03:30
I don't know why you can't say practice.
00:03:32
Is it, is it practice or religion or performer?
00:03:35
Really? I used to go to church with my
00:03:40
parents and this was in Huntington Park, CA.
00:03:44
I remember the priest there. It was actually kind of
00:03:46
entertaining. Like he used to make jokes and
00:03:48
like it was a, it was a good time kind of right.
00:03:51
And one of the things that he ended up telling us, you're kind
00:03:54
of like the end that really got me hooked in there, like was the
00:03:59
story of an exorcism that he did and that he couldn't believe
00:04:03
what he had seen. Now this is trying to
00:04:05
demonstrate that there are dark forces out there, right?
00:04:08
And he says that he went into this room and that the mother of
00:04:14
this teenage guy wore was having a tough time because they were
00:04:19
basically going through like objects removing they were
00:04:22
hearing sounds around the house. So he went in there and he found
00:04:27
a lot of like heavy metal music, like dark rock.
00:04:33
Is that a is that a thing? I don't know.
00:04:36
And he said that when he was going in there and breaking the
00:04:39
C DS, you would hear grunting and, like, deep voices coming
00:04:47
from within the walls. Me being what, 11-12 years old
00:04:52
something. I was like, you're you're
00:04:55
hearing like somebody that you go listen to week after week,
00:04:57
right? And he's he's talking about this
00:04:59
stuff matter of factly, like, yeah.
00:05:02
And I couldn't believe that this happens, but yet I knew that
00:05:05
these things existed. I guess this is what you're
00:05:09
saying, right? I thought it was strange.
00:05:12
I thought it was like music is doing that.
00:05:16
And by the by the way, at the time, I don't know if it was
00:05:18
then or maybe a little bit later.
00:05:20
I might have been in high school.
00:05:21
I'm not sure. No, it was probably before that,
00:05:25
but I was listening to like Weezer, the Fray, Lifehouse, I
00:05:31
don't know. Simple plan, very simple plan
00:05:33
not I think that was over already Blink 182, Green Day,
00:05:37
that kind of thing. And I'm like, is that Hard Rock?
00:05:41
Later on I found out he doesn't right?
00:05:44
Or I might might have some songs that are more grunge from I
00:05:47
guess from the Weezer time. Still, that's kind of stretch
00:05:51
either way. Either way, when I learned about
00:05:53
music having that kind of power and I thought it was strange,
00:05:57
right? So I ended up after researching
00:06:00
all this stuff and I tried to find out if it was dark, ended
00:06:02
up finding all these other tracks from like other classic
00:06:05
rock bands that it play backwards, show hidden messages.
00:06:12
And that's how it was. Supposedly that's how it was.
00:06:15
That's how I heard about Stairway to Heaven, Ozzy
00:06:18
Osbourne, Rest in Peace, His his music and and one song in
00:06:24
particular was pretty dark. Supposedly there was, there was
00:06:28
so much, there was so much stuff.
00:06:29
So there's a couple of cases actually, including Ozzy
00:06:32
Osbourne music, one of one of his songs that's actually went
00:06:38
to trial because of a thing that, I mean, I barely learned
00:06:41
about. I mean, I had heard the phrasing
00:06:43
before. Satanic panic.
00:06:45
Satanic Panic sounds really creepy.
00:06:50
Turns out in the 80s, he had Christians and concerned parent
00:06:56
groups saying that rock music was hiding subliminal messaging
00:07:03
that was making their teenagers do drugs, bad things, right?
00:07:11
And they were concerned about it.
00:07:13
And you would hear, like Chris Schiff, like people up on stage
00:07:17
going Satanic, Satan go to go to Satan or whatever.
00:07:21
Did you guys hear that? This is the actual vinyl.
00:07:25
There's a clip on of that actually, but I got it all
00:07:27
wrong, right. But you can hear like he tells
00:07:31
you, did you did anybody else hear that?
00:07:32
And you're like, I kind of heard that.
00:07:35
I kind of heard that. And it made me wonder like this
00:07:37
one makes me wonder maybe to wonder you have other people
00:07:43
from churches talking about this and it got freaky.
00:07:48
Then court cases of parents suing artists because their
00:07:56
music made people take their own lives.
00:08:01
So this is the case of Judas Priest.
00:08:04
The trial from 1990 from the song Better by You Better Than
00:08:09
Me. Actually this was a cover.
00:08:11
I'm not sure if it's on here, but like this was a cover from
00:08:13
another band called Spooky Tooth.
00:08:16
But anyway, here's what happened, right?
00:08:18
So in 1990, Judas Priest faced this lawsuit basically in
00:08:22
Nevada, 2 teens. Turns out Ray Belknap, who was
00:08:25
only 18 years old, and James Vance, who was 20, made a pact
00:08:30
that they were going to end their own lives.
00:08:33
They actually grabbed the shotgun and went out to the IT
00:08:36
was like from what I read in the actual article that was doing
00:08:40
like a whole analysis on the song.
00:08:42
They went to like the back of a church.
00:08:44
That's where they try to end their lives And who Ray
00:08:49
actually, the younger one died right away.
00:08:51
The other one was completely disfigured.
00:08:53
He actually ended up dying three years later.
00:08:57
He survived initially. So he was kind of like the ones
00:08:59
I was talking about what actually happened and why they
00:09:02
they did that. And they said that listening to
00:09:05
Judas Priest and alcohol and drugs.
00:09:10
They, I mean, they were smoking weed, I think, and it had an
00:09:14
effect, like it had this effect on them.
00:09:17
So that's why they, they decided to, to go through with that
00:09:22
pretty difficult stuff to even listen to, right?
00:09:24
Especially you, if you're the, the, the, you know, the young
00:09:26
man's parents, you're, you're like, what's up with this?
00:09:30
So they sued the actual artist and they said that there were
00:09:34
these messages in the music that said do it.
00:09:39
But here's what it says, right? So that trial lasted three whole
00:09:42
weeks. And it cost the band 1/4 of
00:09:44
$1 to defend themselves against this.
00:09:48
And it turns out that the, the messages that were in there,
00:09:52
they, they, they were saying that, you know, this is all free
00:09:54
speech and stuff. But it turns out it's not really
00:09:56
considered free speech if you're trying to put subliminal
00:10:00
messaging in there. It's just weird blurry area.
00:10:03
I don't know if you have any, any lawyers in here, please let
00:10:05
me know what's up with that Because anyway, I'll go into
00:10:10
this one to talk about another song.
00:10:11
But it was the first time that they actually carry through with
00:10:14
something like this. And it eventually they, they
00:10:18
actually brought out some examples of the song and they're
00:10:21
like reversing and playing all these, these music.
00:10:24
And they could they could hear that there were other messages
00:10:28
in there, but they're kind of dumb.
00:10:30
Like as in there's one that says, Hey, ma, my chair is
00:10:34
broken. Give me a peppermint and help me
00:10:39
keep a job. So they couldn't really hear the
00:10:45
the do it part. But I mean, you know, still,
00:10:48
still the whole thing. I mean, yeah, sounds a little
00:10:51
strange, right to talk about it like this when you think about
00:10:54
it from like the parents angle, losing their children.
00:10:59
Basically, they they're trying to find a reason, right?
00:11:05
They're trying to find a why would you do this?
00:11:07
Like why did you why? So anything's valid at that
00:11:11
point, right? Like you're I can kind of
00:11:14
understand that like they did, they have to find a reason why
00:11:19
this happened, even though it might have been just a vague do
00:11:22
it in there. Turns out I actually went
00:11:24
through the song. I couldn't really find that
00:11:28
specific thing and I looked up analysis of trying to find that,
00:11:30
like people would try to find that.
00:11:33
It's still pretty blurry. Like it's not really you can't
00:11:37
you have to try really hard to to get the the duet part.
00:11:40
But it turns out that dark music like this, just like scary
00:11:44
stories in horror movies sometimes feel very soothing to
00:11:48
somebody who's going through depression or going through
00:11:51
something rough, you know, in in their lives.
00:11:53
So I actually thought like it makes sense why somebody would
00:11:57
listen to do metal or like really heavy, like dark death
00:12:02
metal or whatever it it would make sense my you you can kind
00:12:06
of connect with that kind of thing.
00:12:08
So I also mentioned Ozzy Osbourne in this right and Ozzy
00:12:12
Osbourne they they have this song.
00:12:13
It was Co written actually by Ozzy Osbourne, Bob Bob Daisley
00:12:17
and Randy Rhodes and solutions actually referring to alcohol
00:12:22
like the actual like, you know, from Cam class, like a solution.
00:12:27
And it was intended as in part as a kind of a warning by ACD CS
00:12:32
Bon Scott who drank himself to death basically.
00:12:36
And they wrote that. And there's some lines in the
00:12:40
sauna. This isn't some type of
00:12:41
subliminal thing. This is an actual line from the
00:12:45
song. It says wine is fine, but
00:12:47
whiskey's quicker. Suicide is slow with liquor.
00:12:50
I guess you like kind of hear it.
00:12:52
All right. So during the 80s I mentioned
00:12:53
that there was a thing called the Satanic Panic, right?
00:12:55
And now during those times, there was a lot of the demons.
00:13:00
The devil was everywhere, basically in music and artwork
00:13:04
and places and stuff. People were doing satanic
00:13:07
rituals everywhere. And like, this is the reason why
00:13:09
murders happened and people were getting possessed and like
00:13:12
everything was blamed on that. This wasn't the 80s, right?
00:13:14
It's not even that, that, that long ago, but still it was
00:13:18
everywhere. And there's, there's basically,
00:13:20
that's what they call it a panic because everybody was like, oh,
00:13:23
oh, there's all this stuff everywhere.
00:13:24
So all these artists started doing this thing called back
00:13:29
masking. I think that's the that's the
00:13:31
word for it, basically recording stuff so that you can play it
00:13:35
backwards and it kind of says a, a thing that Satanic messages
00:13:39
were making it into popular music and Stairway to Heaven,
00:13:43
all these other songs, right? And other artists were like, all
00:13:47
right, let's make fun of this. So they would put their own
00:13:49
stuff in there. And that's how we ended up.
00:13:51
But there's a lot of these, right?
00:13:52
But like there was one that freaky creeped me out because
00:13:55
why would you put this here? This is Fire on High and the
00:14:02
name of the song Fire on High? And here's what it says like
00:14:07
check this out. turn back, turn back, turn back,
00:14:36
turn back, turn back. That is so creepy to like.
00:14:40
What does that? Mean well, it turns out they
00:14:42
were just making fun of it. I guess they were.
00:14:44
But it turns out that that message is actually really
00:14:46
creepy. Music is reversible, reversible,
00:14:49
but time is not Turn back, turn back, turn back.
00:14:53
That sounds you know, it's like they're making fun of it still
00:14:58
like that's really creepy. Moving on Stairway to heaven.
00:15:04
Obviously we need to have this one in here.
00:15:06
But once you hear it, you can unhear it.
00:15:08
But I also want you to hear some of the other parts of that song
00:15:11
because obviously you're going to think everything is evil.
00:15:15
People did that thing when they played.
00:15:17
Darn it, I opened up the wrong video.
00:15:19
But I also want you to listen to some of the other parts.
00:15:22
Like check this other part out. See there?
00:15:32
It says some. I would say like those messages
00:15:37
sound kind of Christian, but then here's the famous one.
00:16:00
Once you hear that part, here's to my sweet Satan.
00:16:03
Like you, you can't you can't unhear it.
00:16:06
Even though it might have all been made-up.
00:16:08
You can't unhear like now it's there.
00:16:12
You can't hear what is being played normally, right?
00:16:14
But like, still, it's Yeah, that's creepy.
00:16:20
Here's a fun one. Another one bites the dust by
00:16:23
Queen. Just check this one out.
00:16:28
This is interesting. Another one bust the dust.
00:16:34
Another one bust the dust. Another one bust the dust.
00:16:38
Hey, hey, Another one. Bust the dust.
00:16:50
Is that what it's trying to say? Is that trying to send us a
00:16:54
message? All right, so in digging around
00:16:59
for more and more of this music, I obviously, obviously bumped
00:17:02
into The Beatles. Now, I've listened to a lot of
00:17:06
Beatles songs, but I'm not like a hardcore fan.
00:17:10
Like I know Oscar, my friend from college, he absolutely
00:17:14
loved The Beatles, collected their stuff, memorabilia or
00:17:17
whatever, knew all pretty much every song.
00:17:21
But I was more like, I mean, yeah, that sound cool.
00:17:27
I really like Revolution. I don't even know that counts.
00:17:32
You also bring out boring pretty fast.
00:17:34
But I mean, I can kind of see it.
00:17:37
I also talked to people saying that they're kind of overrated.
00:17:39
But really, I'm like, I think we just had to be there.
00:17:41
Like, at the time, kind of like what I said about the The Blair
00:17:45
Witch Project, that you just kind of have to be there to live
00:17:49
the whole hysteria of it. Otherwise, it's just like, I
00:17:52
like The Beatles, right? Turns out though, I did, I have
00:17:55
something that's made me really dig into them, into their their
00:17:59
history or whatever. And that's the Paul is dead
00:18:02
theory, the conspiracy. Now, who was Paul?
00:18:07
Actually? Who are The Beatles for those,
00:18:09
you know, for those of us, for those of us who are super young,
00:18:13
actually, for those for those who might not know, know who
00:18:16
they are, right. So actually look this up so I
00:18:19
can so I can tell you without messing it up too hard.
00:18:23
So The Beatles were banned from the 60s.
00:18:27
That's where they were formed. They're actually from England
00:18:29
and composed of John Lennon, Paul Mccart.
00:18:32
I don't even know why everything is right.
00:18:33
John Harrison, Ringer, Starr. And they got pretty famous
00:18:37
really fast. They ended up selling million,
00:18:38
like hundreds of millions of records all over the world.
00:18:41
And they broke up 10 years later in 1970.
00:18:45
And they they modified a lot of things like put their own style
00:18:49
fashion, like they just it was it was a whole movement.
00:18:52
It was like, imagine a Taylor Swift but cooler.
00:18:56
That's how I would describe it. It's like this phenomenon.
00:19:00
Maybe like more more like more like, I guess like a movement
00:19:02
like K pop. I don't even I think I'm behind
00:19:05
all the times. But anyway, they, the theory
00:19:09
here was that Paul from the band was actually dead and had been
00:19:13
replaced like that. That's weird.
00:19:17
He had been replaced by someone else, and supposedly proof of
00:19:22
that was in their music. Is it true?
00:19:27
Do you believe it? Here's some stuff that supports
00:19:31
it, right? So here's one of the clues,
00:19:33
right? Abbey Road, which is one of
00:19:35
their, this came out of 1969, right?
00:19:38
The cover had funeral imagery I actually detailed here on here
00:19:43
with John was a preacher, Ringo was the undertaker, Paul was a
00:19:46
corpse, and George was a gravedigger.
00:19:52
So were they hinting at this, that the real Paul was actually
00:19:57
dead? So let's continue, right?
00:20:00
So in the Sergeant Pepper album you can see there's another
00:20:06
funeral scene with a floral arrangement.
00:20:11
Paul arrangement, You have to see it.
00:20:16
There's a crowd of witnesses. Drum is reading I won nine.
00:20:22
He die if you mirror, if you mirror it.
00:20:26
So you're going to have to. I don't, I don't.
00:20:29
You know this. When you're looking for answers
00:20:31
like that, is he actually dead? You're going to look up stuff
00:20:35
like this. People are very dedicated with
00:20:37
this stuff and they hint the clues go on, right?
00:20:40
And and the, the white elbow revolution 9 backwards, the
00:20:44
number 9 #9 sounds a lot like turn me on, turn me on, all
00:20:48
right, Turn me on dead man. And people were like, that's it
00:21:04
turn me on dead man like that's it's proof he's dead.
00:21:11
Then a day in the life from 1967.
00:21:13
The lyric says that that one of the lyrics say he blew his mind
00:21:17
out of a car. He blew his mind out in a car.
00:21:21
He's talking about Paul's car crash and Glass Onion.
00:21:26
This is an interesting one because Lenin, they're actually
00:21:30
talking about all these other songs that they made, right?
00:21:33
And John Lennon here says it kind of says here's another clue
00:21:37
for there's a lyric here. Here's another clue for you all.
00:21:39
The walrus was Paul. I mean, they were in it.
00:21:44
They were going in into the whole conspiracy year.
00:21:48
Then in Magical Mystery Tour from 1967, the booklet, Paul is
00:21:52
shown wearing a black carnation while others were red.
00:21:57
It was kind of a death symbol. Also some back masking in.
00:22:03
I'm so tired now. This one's creepy mumble
00:22:07
gibberish. When you put it backwards.
00:22:08
He says Paul is a dead man. Miss him, miss him, miss him.
00:22:16
Let's listen to that one. And then here's the stuff about
00:22:27
the car crash. Right.
00:22:28
They said that supposedly Paul died in November 1966 and it was
00:22:32
replaced by this look alike William Billy Campbell.
00:22:35
Was he actually dead? Do you think Michael Jackson is
00:22:39
dead or is he going to like show up like on your inner window?
00:22:43
Like good. I remember that from like the
00:22:49
other podcast scary ways to surprise.
00:22:52
Michelle is terrified of Michael Jackson and like, jeez, I kind
00:22:59
of get it. I kind of get it.
00:23:03
Shout out to Michael Jackson's fans or Michael Jackson, if
00:23:05
you're still alive, you're watching this.
00:23:08
All right, so that's as far as like music.
00:23:10
That's all of our music stuff. Here is some of the movies like
00:23:14
here's obviously we have to mention the Exorcist.
00:23:19
The Exorcist had now it looks a little silly if I re watched it
00:23:23
for this and it looks a little silly but I bet it was creepy as
00:23:30
heck when it first came out. There are certain scenes that
00:23:33
show a demon's face right there like kind of appearing and
00:23:39
disappearing. I mean if you're watching video
00:23:42
you'll be able to see it. If not just imagine this really.
00:23:46
It's like a flash of an image, like a face that pops up in, for
00:23:50
example, there's a scene where there is a woman hears noises or
00:23:55
hears something is calling out to somebody, kind of the,
00:23:58
there's a kitchen scene. And very like I would say it's
00:24:03
not too, too, too big of a face, but it kind of shows up and
00:24:05
disappears in the, in the film and it doesn't take up the whole
00:24:08
screen like that game. I don't even play that.
00:24:10
Have you ever you got tricked into playing that one game
00:24:13
online back in the in when the Internet was young, you were
00:24:17
playing, all of a sudden the space would pop up.
00:24:20
It wasn't like that. It was like this tiny face that
00:24:22
would disappear. And that was the messaging,
00:24:25
supposedly it was to scare you. So like it's building up and
00:24:28
like I can actually imagine in the theaters, you kind of see
00:24:30
you're like, whoa. And then you just go back into
00:24:33
the movie because obviously you can't step out of the movie too
00:24:35
much. Like I said, you can't get out
00:24:37
of the story. So it's just kind of like, whoa,
00:24:39
you kind of hear an audience doing that kind of thing.
00:24:41
Fight Club right where obviously, and if you've seen
00:24:44
that movie, I actually saw a long time ago, but I remember
00:24:48
the the the glitches, what I thought were glitches and we can
00:24:51
actually see right there Tyler appearing and like disappearing.
00:24:55
I don't want to spoil it if you haven't watched it yet, but it
00:24:59
took me a while to like remember because that that was an old,
00:25:02
old, old. I thought I always called it a
00:25:04
book, but they're they're doing that with intention to like show
00:25:08
you something that's coming up or something that's like to
00:25:11
scare you a little bit more. I found some more messaging.
00:25:15
This one's a little stranger. It obviously you guys probably
00:25:19
know about the Disney stuff, right?
00:25:20
This show like a penis under the sea.
00:25:24
Some also in the clouds and and some movie.
00:25:27
You see the word SEX, right? They're all huge.
00:25:30
You hear the teenagers take off their clothes in Aladdin, I
00:25:33
think. Come.
00:25:36
On good tears, take off. Is it that I don't know what
00:25:45
movie it is, but like imagine that like they should say that
00:25:48
you can hear it's there, It's there, but I found some more
00:25:52
aside from that, this is a very hidden movie.
00:25:54
Actually had to look up what it was you you might have seen it
00:25:58
actually, like IA lot of people for I don't think this is
00:26:01
Disney, but I remember fivefold goes West.
00:26:03
I got that movie for free. I think they were giving it away
00:26:05
a Burger King or something and and I really like that movie,
00:26:09
but like not nobody knows about it.
00:26:12
But this one a lot of people happen to know about the
00:26:15
rescuers in it. I ended up watching one of the
00:26:18
clips in there because it was this hidden thing in there.
00:26:24
Turns out there were boobs like like an actual like an image of
00:26:30
this topless woman in the windows when there there's a
00:26:34
scene with her falling between buildings and in one of the
00:26:37
windows you can see it and it's not even in one frame.
00:26:39
It's in 2. So it's not even like, oh, we
00:26:42
messed up as like and it moves with like as you're falling the
00:26:45
windows there and then the characters are falling and then
00:26:48
the windows a little higher up in the building and the same
00:26:50
image is there. So like it's moving and you can
00:26:53
see it. It's blurry enough so that it
00:26:55
it's still allowed to show up on YouTube, but it's it's there.
00:26:59
Disney actually admitted it and they had to recall like millions
00:27:06
of these VHSVHS tapes because it had that in there.
00:27:13
Now I wonder how do you even stumble upon like, yeah,
00:27:18
probably have to like pause it like by have pure chance pause
00:27:22
it while they're falling down this building.
00:27:24
So you can see that supposedly. I don't know if this is true but
00:27:30
there was a boy who saw it and told his mom about it.
00:27:33
The mom was like what and called Disney and was like this is
00:27:36
there so cost Disney all that money to replace the VHS tapes
00:27:41
and or recall that maybe give people their money back.
00:27:44
I don't know how that worked, but imagine that.
00:27:50
Why would you? Because it doesn't even fit as a
00:27:52
as a cartoon. Like it would make sense if it
00:27:54
was like a cartoon topless mouse or whatever, but it's a human
00:28:01
like a picture of like, jeez people, man, I bet the animators
00:28:06
probably get bored, right, of doing the same thing over and
00:28:08
over. They're just like, let's just
00:28:09
put this in there and then you're up with that costing
00:28:12
people a lot of money. Also, this isn't actually a
00:28:17
subliminal messaging, but it is showing the power of messaging.
00:28:22
And this is from the UK, the public service announcement that
00:28:26
was, it's called Dark and Lonely Water.
00:28:31
And this is super creepy. I actually looked up the actual
00:28:33
transcript so I can read it for you people.
00:28:38
Turns out in the UK, kids were falling into ponds, little lakes
00:28:43
and stuff and they were drowning and there was all like accident
00:28:47
kind of things because it's like you get in there and then there
00:28:51
might be like, I don't know, cables, wire, a car, something
00:28:55
in underwater and you get kind of stuck in there in your, you
00:28:57
drown enough kids that died that they decided to make a public
00:29:02
service service announcement. This is what it said.
00:29:05
Now imagine this imagery kind of thing.
00:29:06
I'm going to do my best here. There is this hooded black
00:29:11
figure that symbolizes death and it's kind of behind in the
00:29:16
scene. There are some kids playing by
00:29:19
the water. Maybe they drop something and
00:29:22
try to fish it out with a stick. One of those like leaning in
00:29:24
there to try to get it and it's slippery.
00:29:28
They're about the one of them is about to fall.
00:29:29
And otherwise imagine that kind of scene, right?
00:29:31
And it's old. Imagine like an old DHSC kind of
00:29:35
old footage, like as in I guess for our our cool kids today,
00:29:40
Imagine 144 P quality on YouTube.
00:29:45
I don't know. Here's what I said.
00:29:48
I am the spirit of dark and lonely water, ready to trap the
00:29:53
unwary, the show offs, the foolhardy.
00:29:57
This is the kind of place you'd expect to find me, but no one
00:30:00
expects to find me here, watching, waiting for a silly
00:30:05
show off. The bank is slippery.
00:30:09
The show off is in the water. The show off is drowned.
00:30:13
This branch is weak. Frightened by the way, in this
00:30:15
part like this branch is weak. Run.
00:30:17
Did you see this boy grabbing onto a branch and it's kind of
00:30:21
like a but it's about to break and he's kind of leaning into
00:30:23
the water to get something out. Branch is weak.
00:30:27
Run. It'll never take his weight.
00:30:30
Only a fool would ignore this. The boy is drowned.
00:30:35
But wait, sensible children. I have no power over them.
00:30:42
And and then the kids kind of like they show like some footage
00:30:46
of like the kids being OK in the end and in the closing mind says
00:30:50
this is the spirit of the dark and lonely water.
00:30:53
And this is what could happen if you are not careful.
00:31:00
Creepy dude. Like, OK.
00:31:01
I also remember back in my parents used to watch TV in
00:31:06
Spanish and there was this message that would always come
00:31:08
up maybe like at 10:00 PM or something.
00:31:11
It's like, so unless maybe like 11 or something, it would be
00:31:14
like some Las Dias de la noche who stayed sabe Don de Stan
00:31:18
sousi host or something like that.
00:31:21
Basically it's 10 at night. Do you know where your children
00:31:24
are? Because kids first all this
00:31:28
curfew, but also maybe they were causing trouble.
00:31:30
So I was another PSA, another public service announcement.
00:31:33
Do you know where your children are?
00:31:34
Like make sure they're home, make sure they're home.
00:31:41
Harsh messaging, I mean, scary effective, but still kind of
00:31:45
like why it's pretty, I don't know.
00:31:49
It's intense. It's intense.
00:31:51
That kind of idea, that kind of messaging can get you to change
00:31:54
your behavior, right? Which brings up another thing
00:31:58
too. I actually found some government
00:32:01
kind of things which were experiments on subliminal
00:32:07
messaging, trying to get the enemy to change your behaviour.
00:32:13
There was there was a few obvious obvious like let me see
00:32:16
if I could find find the thing here.
00:32:17
The Moscow signal was one of them.
00:32:20
They actually try to they experimented on actual like
00:32:25
staff from the embassy about this stuff.
00:32:29
And it turns out that over 2 decades Soviet intelligence
00:32:32
supposedly being the microwave radiation at the US embassy in
00:32:35
Moscow. Now, nobody told the diplomats
00:32:39
for that long, right? And when the Americans found
00:32:42
out, they they were like, instead of being like, why would
00:32:46
you do that? They opened up their own
00:32:47
research about do microwaves, not like microwave where you
00:32:51
heat up food, but like waves, you know, can they do that?
00:32:55
Can I make them tired? Can I make people change their
00:32:58
moods? Maybe that possible.
00:33:03
They know. And that was back in the 1950s
00:33:08
and they actually went through like the 1970s.
00:33:11
So people were very interested in this kind of thing.
00:33:15
They were into like the whole spy kind of thing, like, oh, I'm
00:33:18
going to make you sleep and like press a button.
00:33:22
And like, maybe that was like what they were hoping for.
00:33:27
That's really, it's weird to think about, but imagine the
00:33:29
money, taxpayer money went into this kind of research.
00:33:33
I don't know, I don't know how I feel about that because it's
00:33:39
they're trying to control you, which brings up also, you know
00:33:44
what, there's another messaging thing that I found out and it's
00:33:46
it's the, the Vietnam during the Vietnam War, there was there
00:33:50
were these tapes that were recorded and played over and
00:33:52
over and over to U.S. soldiers. Like they're pretty much like
00:33:58
you're losing hope. Like I'll try to play some of
00:34:02
the some of the clips here. DI the government has abandoned
00:34:07
you. They have ordered you to die.
00:34:10
GI do not trust them defect. GI It is a very good idea to
00:34:18
live a sinking. Those are pretty intense.
00:34:21
And there were these other messages too.
00:34:22
Like, for example, there was one that I found from Iron Chef
00:34:25
America as they're playing the clip, like the playing the, the
00:34:31
actual show, you see McDonald's and then I'm loving it or
00:34:34
whatever. Like it just like an instant,
00:34:36
like it shows up and then it goes away.
00:34:38
Somebody actually caught it on. Like, you know, when you, you
00:34:40
record your TV or whatever and they, they, it's there, the
00:34:44
announcement is there. Then they, they made a whole
00:34:48
thing about it. They contacted McDonald's and
00:34:51
they're like, oh, that was a mistake.
00:34:52
I mean, that was an error. McDonald's does not use
00:34:56
subliminal messaging. I mean, might have been true.
00:35:02
I mean, can you really change your behaviour by like seeing a
00:35:07
little bits like for an instant? There's actually a book that I
00:35:12
found during the the research too that talked a lot about like
00:35:15
the history of subliminal messaging and its impact on how
00:35:19
it affects our shopping behaviour.
00:35:22
There was this one supposed experiment alleged supposed
00:35:28
there was this one experiment that they said that they did
00:35:32
where they said I think buy popcorn and Coca-Cola or
00:35:35
something during they would play like they would show the clip
00:35:40
like in an instant, like instant.
00:35:43
Like I'm saying like a split of a second during the movies.
00:35:47
And that's supposedly that brought up sales.
00:35:51
Eventually though, they they said, Oh no, I was just kidding.
00:35:53
Like that's not actual research. Like I was just kidding, but
00:35:58
still it it triggered the whole subliminal messaging thing.
00:36:01
Like what are you guys doing? Like why, why you like you
00:36:06
should this is this allowed? Like why are you doing that?
00:36:10
And also like during the Bush campaign, like in what, 2000 or
00:36:13
something? When was he president to 2000?
00:36:18
I don't know, I forgot, but yeah, this is yeah, 2000.
00:36:22
They, there was this part in, in one of the, you know, my name is
00:36:27
George Bush, W Bush. And, and I approved this
00:36:30
message. Like those, those commercials
00:36:33
they show when I say bureaucrats, they put rats like
00:36:38
all I've taken out the whole screen and it's like a split of
00:36:40
a second. So the rats supposedly was a
00:36:43
subliminal stuff. And they're like, you can't be
00:36:45
using subliminal messaging in messages to Americans.
00:36:50
And they said we didn't do that on purpose, but they still took
00:36:53
down the commercial. He just kind of shows you, like,
00:36:56
people do this kind of stuff, which brings up the whole new
00:36:59
TikTok thing. Now I want you to seriously,
00:37:03
seriously, just to think about this.
00:37:05
Do you really think that when people say like, I guess I don't
00:37:11
know what they were trying to explain in the messaging when
00:37:15
they were getting rid of TikTok in the United States, but I
00:37:19
think they just called it like a national security threat because
00:37:22
they have access to your data. What it actually is, is they
00:37:29
don't want China to have control over the message like messaging
00:37:36
that we get, I guess, in the United States.
00:37:38
Because in China, if if you say something critical about the
00:37:42
government, the algorithm kind of suppresses that a little bit.
00:37:45
So you can't see it doesn't spread that much.
00:37:49
I mean, it can still publish it, but like it won't spread.
00:37:52
They actually push whatever they feel like would benefit their
00:37:55
country. So the US doesn't want China to
00:38:00
have that power. Understandable, right?
00:38:04
Like I can, I understand the reasoning, but it also makes me
00:38:08
think, so who's controlling the messaging for us?
00:38:14
Because there's a lot of things that we have wrong.
00:38:17
Like a lot of things that we're like, we don't have the best
00:38:21
that we can get into the whole thing, but we don't have we're
00:38:23
not like the best country. And and they're still feeding us
00:38:28
all these messaging. Right?
00:38:30
When I'm outside out of the USI don't get that many ads on
00:38:33
YouTube. When I'm back, I'm saying
00:38:35
multiple, I even get the double and triple.
00:38:38
I don't even know triple, but like double ads on Instagram.
00:38:41
I'm just like, whoa, like guys, seriously, like so many ads.
00:38:45
You're going down the street and you see ad like step out into
00:38:48
the street, you're going to see ads.
00:38:49
Except for residential areas. You you don't see them that
00:38:52
often. But I mean, unless you live by a
00:38:53
freeway and like a billboard, but like they're everywhere,
00:38:56
everywhere. And I'm just like, you can't
00:38:58
watch anything. You listen to anything.
00:39:00
I think this is a good spot for an ad break.
00:39:03
I'm just, I'm just scared. Maybe I don't know.
00:39:05
Spotify does it automatically but it's insane and isn't ads
00:39:12
kind of aren't ads kind of subliminal messaging?
00:39:16
Like you're watching something that you like and then loop
00:39:19
here's an ad go to McDonald's for the new Mcrib is back or
00:39:23
whatever. That can't be considered
00:39:26
subliminal. I guess it's not subliminal but
00:39:27
it's still like very Thai like the messaging.
00:39:30
So aside from TikTok, all these other algorithms, like for
00:39:34
example, there was this really, really good YouTube video that I
00:39:38
watched and it talked about how you did this guy lived without
00:39:43
the the Spotify or music streaming services.
00:39:46
I'll show you what it is. I'll link to it too if you want
00:39:50
to see it. Basically he had to listen to
00:39:54
only music from CDs and records and stuff that his friends
00:39:57
recommended, and he was going to use this old iPod without an
00:40:00
algorithm. I don't know if you've ever had
00:40:02
one of these iPods, man, but those things were the best.
00:40:05
Like you could have your top 25. That means literally what you
00:40:08
played the most. And to make your top 25 list
00:40:10
like your your own personal one, no one had to see it.
00:40:12
Obviously people would they want to be nosy, they would open up
00:40:15
your iPod and they would see your top 25.
00:40:17
Notice that you're listening to Island in the Sun and you're
00:40:19
never going to defeat Island in the Sun.
00:40:21
But at least on my iPod, because I had played on repeat, like
00:40:24
even to fall asleep, but you could see that.
00:40:29
And those were the days, man. Like now, if you discover a new
00:40:34
cool song and you listen to it, eventually the algorithms bring
00:40:38
you back to what everyone else is listening to.
00:40:44
Like it just kind of naturally you just end up there.
00:40:46
You go again at the weekend in Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande
00:40:51
and everybody like you just come back to the same.
00:40:53
So not, I'm going to try to be cool here and be like, oh, indie
00:40:56
music and all that, but like they kind of end up back there
00:41:00
and it is just, it is what it is.
00:41:03
But is that kind of subliminal right now?
00:41:06
For example, right. Spotify, you see all these top
00:41:09
charts in there. So what do we do when it comes
00:41:12
down to all these things that we're getting right?
00:41:15
Like for example, politicians do this all the time with
00:41:18
repetition. There's actual playbook in how
00:41:21
to hypnotize. You hypnotize.
00:41:22
I don't even know it's called hypnotize.
00:41:24
But if you repeat the same messaging over and over and
00:41:27
over, it kind of loses its impact.
00:41:28
It kind of becomes true in our minds.
00:41:31
So how often have we heard messages about the devil?
00:41:36
Messages about, I don't know, evil stuff, drugs.
00:41:41
How many times have we seen boobs without realizing it?
00:41:46
Scary I guess, but still it's like it's really weird to think
00:41:54
about how so that everybody isn't too can have hidden
00:41:58
messages in there. Now I mentioned hypnosis in here
00:42:02
and I want to tell you something that happened a long time ago.
00:42:05
Now I remember how it happened. I remember details, but
00:42:08
basically I self hypnotized myself.
00:42:11
I found this book and it was called like how to hypnotize
00:42:14
yourself. It was something simple like
00:42:15
that. So introduction to self
00:42:19
hypnosis, something like that. And I was like, now I was like
00:42:21
going to kind of a rough time. I remember that.
00:42:24
And I, I found out, like in the book it tells you like, read
00:42:29
this to yourself, tape, like on tape, record it and then play it
00:42:33
back and just listen to it. Be like in a chair.
00:42:36
Listen. And there you go.
00:42:38
So I did that. And I'm not even kidding you
00:42:41
here. I woke up the next day.
00:42:50
Yeah, just to say it is weird. It was really weird.
00:42:58
It was all the time that you're confused because like the light
00:43:00
level of light outside is kind of the same as like at night, in
00:43:04
the evening and in the morning. And the whole time I'm kind of
00:43:08
listening to messages like, you know, affirmations, like you are
00:43:13
the best. I don't know, I forgot what it
00:43:15
was, but I probably have the tape somewhere if I just look
00:43:17
for it. But creepy because I actually
00:43:21
hypnotized myself and there was no way for me to wake up.
00:43:24
What if I was hypnotized forever?
00:43:26
What if I'm hypnotized right now?
00:43:30
Dude, I don't know. Just thinking about that really
00:43:32
creeps me out. But that reminds me a lot of the
00:43:35
trends that are happening right now on TikTok and YouTube where
00:43:37
like, you sure, like you just listen to a certain thing and
00:43:41
somebody's making their own affirmations, like you are
00:43:46
healthy, you are happy or something.
00:43:48
They just kind of repeat and they say that you listen to it
00:43:50
and you fall asleep listening to it.
00:43:52
Is that actually getting to us? And if that's possible to change
00:43:56
our lives for the good, can there be people with evil
00:44:01
intentions trying to go the opposite way?
00:44:05
Something to think about anyway. So that's all I have about
00:44:09
subliminal messaging here. But if you have your own ideas
00:44:12
or own things that you found, please send them over.
00:44:15
Edwin at scarystory.com is my e-mail.
00:44:18
All my contact info is in the description now.
00:44:21
This is from the unseen forces episode.
00:44:24
Nina Simone saying I was hoping to see my story.
00:44:27
However I enjoyed these. Can't wait for the live tomorrow
00:44:29
night. Nina, I believe you.
00:44:31
You showed up on there. Thanks a lot for that.
00:44:33
And your story is coming up in the less the next listener
00:44:37
submission story. Gabe says, man this shows my
00:44:40
work buddy. Super cool to be your coworker.
00:44:44
Happy about that. Thanks a lot, Gabe for the for
00:44:46
the comment. Marilena Costa says, hi Edwin,
00:44:48
love your work. Thank you for getting it for
00:44:50
getting me through my day. You look, you should look up
00:44:54
some scary history from Rhode Island.
00:44:55
I grew up there and lived in three haunted houses.
00:44:59
We only lived in one for 21 days because they try to possess me.
00:45:02
If I if I'm rereading the comments here, 'cause I know I
00:45:05
read this. I don't know if I read it to
00:45:06
myself or if I read it on the podcast, but thanks a lot for
00:45:09
the comment and please Share your story.
00:45:12
Please, please reach out. So even just write it out and
00:45:15
I'll read it if you don't want to tell it like yourself.
00:45:18
Wow. As Stephanie says, hi, Edwin.
00:45:20
Thank you so much for sharing my story.
00:45:21
Keep up the good work. Keep it scary.
00:45:23
Keep it scary. And Stephanie, appreciate that.
00:45:25
This is from the last episode. It's creepy stuff.
00:45:29
Listen to Stephanie's story. Big text ahead.
00:45:31
When can you do an episode on Candyman or a scary story based
00:45:34
on it? Yeah, I might have read it to
00:45:36
myself if I'm repeating these. Sorry, but thanks a lot of big
00:45:39
text for that. And he says, hell yeah, Los
00:45:42
spookies, Juan. Yeah, we're the spookies now.
00:45:44
Los spookies, Marissa says. And to send my story in.
00:45:48
I listen to your pods at work every day.
00:45:50
I love the stories. And yes, the world is on fire.
00:45:53
Hashtag Los spookies, Ellie says.
00:45:55
I came across your podcast. I love listening to it.
00:45:57
So does my kiddo. We're becoming big fans of the
00:45:59
show. Love the recent blue high
00:46:01
episode. Can't wait to hear more
00:46:03
episodes. Thanks a lot, Ellie.
00:46:05
Kelly T says hi. You said you linked the the test
00:46:08
of little story. I'm not saying it.
00:46:09
Can you liberally link it, please?
00:46:11
Yes, actually, I I sent I sent you the the link there and also
00:46:14
it's linked. I'm not sure how it looks on
00:46:17
Spotify. It should have like episodes
00:46:20
mentioned or stuff mentioned in this episode and then it it
00:46:23
should show there. Roger says I could clearly
00:46:26
visualize the sharp teeth like Derry in the movie it that's how
00:46:31
I imagined it when I heard that. Read that story about open the
00:46:35
mouth and it's like sharp teeth like that.
00:46:37
Really creepy. Let me see bad business, says
00:46:40
Edwin. I'm not sure how I got here, but
00:46:42
I found True Scary Story last year and I have been following
00:46:44
since. My kids are also Horror Story
00:46:46
horror fans and would love and would love when I picked them up
00:46:50
from school and put on the show, but I had to stop when my son
00:46:52
started getting scared sleeping in his room.
00:46:56
Your epic storytelling has that effect.
00:46:58
I listen to all our work and I look forward to new episodes.
00:47:00
Maybe I will share a story one day.
00:47:02
I'm here for the paranormal Club and I'm one of those Los
00:47:04
spookies. Keep it scary row.
00:47:06
Keep it scary about business or BD business.
00:47:11
Bad business. Sounds really cool.
00:47:13
Thanks a lot. And yeah, sorry about your your
00:47:15
son. Yeah, that happens.
00:47:19
Adrana says, hey, great episode just catching up.
00:47:22
And our first scary story involves Salvadorian coffee
00:47:24
fields with women that had goat legs that would leer the field
00:47:29
workers into the into the rainforest, the nearby
00:47:33
rainforest, and another of a wee Ouija board that came back after
00:47:38
being burned. Again, I need to send you some
00:47:41
of my stories. My paranormal experiences
00:47:43
started in my childhood. Keep it up, Edwin.
00:47:47
Adriana, you have to you formal requests.
00:47:52
Formal requests here. Zana, you have to send me this
00:47:54
story. Just like the other person who
00:47:56
commented here saying that they also have a bunch of stories
00:47:59
about the haunted houses in in Rhode Island.
00:48:02
You guys, you guys are just teasing me here.
00:48:04
You're like, oh, I have stories. Maybe I should share them one
00:48:06
day. Yeah, you should share them.
00:48:07
Share them now. Sorry.
00:48:12
Jeez. OK.
00:48:13
Ebalarcon says yes, it was me who first suggested Los
00:48:17
spookies. There you go Ebalarcon.
00:48:20
Humble brag loli. Would love to see merch.
00:48:22
I'd rocket a Los Spookies T-shirt and a pin for my
00:48:25
collection. Yes and actually I hope we don't
00:48:28
get in trouble from that show that people have been saying
00:48:30
that it's called Los Spookies. I think they say HBO.
00:48:34
We just need to make it look different and make it our own
00:48:37
thing. Val says.
00:48:38
I have a scary story about when I worked at the last hospital I
00:48:41
worked at. Hospital stories are really
00:48:44
creepy. Please, please, please send it
00:48:47
in. Thanks.
00:48:49
Mel Ambular says Los Espooki is actually a show on HBO Max.
00:48:54
There it is. See Natalia says I have a story
00:48:57
from a Co worker. He's a tourism guide who travels
00:49:00
all around the country Costa Rica with a group of for some
00:49:03
days or weeks he stays in the same hotel his clients do.
00:49:06
He stayed in a hotel in Monte Verde, had sleep paralysis every
00:49:10
night for the next three days, always felt someone was watching
00:49:13
him and he was not able to move for a long time.
00:49:17
He was not able to get another room.
00:49:19
And on the day they were leaving, he informed the hotel
00:49:22
about the situation and he never stayed there again.
00:49:28
Taking the telly, like I feel bad for him.
00:49:29
Like sleep routes is actually pretty scary.
00:49:31
Like I'm actually hurt. I, I've never experienced them.
00:49:34
I mean, I think I've, but I've never seen anything weird.
00:49:36
But I have experienced when I wake up and I'm not not fully
00:49:39
there, but everybody's describing the same thing.
00:49:42
Something's going on with this kind of thing.
00:49:46
Gene Lewis says. Hey, Edwin, just want to share
00:49:49
something. It doesn't have the the usual
00:49:51
paranormal elements, but back in the Philippines, I used to work
00:49:54
at a call center located in a mall.
00:49:56
Even five years after I left, I still had friends there.
00:50:00
My brother was also working there at the time. 2 days before
00:50:03
Christmas in 2017, the mall caught fire and burned down.
00:50:07
I remember there were 39 casualties and 37 were from my
00:50:11
former workplace. Aw, that's terrible.
00:50:17
Dang, that year was hard. None of us could find it in our
00:50:21
heart to celebrate the holidays. Jeez.
00:50:25
Like, that's a lot of people too.
00:50:26
But like, still, like, yeah, like right before the holidays.
00:50:30
Like, that's. Dang.
00:50:32
But like, you see, like in a place where you used to work,
00:50:35
like I asked for workplace stories.
00:50:37
And some of them, some of the stories that I've gotten are
00:50:39
really sad, really tragic. By the way, sending workplace
00:50:44
stories like I'm, I'm still looking for more workplace
00:50:47
stuff, security footage, anything from night shift
00:50:50
workers, security cameras, even just day-to-day things like when
00:50:55
you hear noises in the back rooms or whatever.
00:50:58
Jeez, it was really creepy. But yeah, sorry about that.
00:51:01
Sorry about that. Gene Lewis.
00:51:04
Let me see. Yoda 237 says love bees.
00:51:07
Thanks a lot Yoda. I'm also going to be reading
00:51:10
some of the reviews from Apple podcast next time.
00:51:12
This is a lot of comments. I'm so sorry.
00:51:14
I'm used to listening like thank you so much for that because
00:51:17
it's a lot of comments, but also don't want to skip now,
00:51:20
especially now when it's still kind of manageable.
00:51:24
Princess P says I love all your shows and the way you tell the
00:51:27
stories. Top tier.
00:51:28
I enjoy the video storytelling very much.
00:51:30
Yay, Los spookies. Now we need merch.
00:51:33
Are any of you guys designers by any chance?
00:51:35
Like, do you make things? Can you make like a cool, like,
00:51:38
graphic for those spookies? We should do like a contest or
00:51:42
something. I mean, turn it into a shirt and
00:51:43
I want to wear it. Thanks a lot, Princess B.
00:51:47
Kristen says. Hi, Edwin.
00:51:48
It's so nice to put a face to the voice.
00:51:49
I've been following all your podcasts and absolutely love
00:51:51
them all. Keep it scary.
00:51:53
Kristen. Thank you so much for that.
00:51:55
I appreciate you being here. Thank you, but let me see, Coley
00:51:58
says. I used to be terrified of a
00:52:00
jacquard from Don Francisco as a child.
00:52:02
That's the first thing I remember being scared of.
00:52:04
I would run and hide under my mom's ironing board anytime a
00:52:07
segment came up and my parents thought it was hilarious.
00:52:11
I cried the whole time. Sorry, but I cried the whole
00:52:15
time. That line, it reminds me of this
00:52:18
hidden, hidden line in the office.
00:52:21
I remember from like the presentation.
00:52:23
Anyway, if you know, you know. But the Jacquard thing, you
00:52:27
know, I I actually read your comment.
00:52:28
This is where I read it in a comment on a live live stream,
00:52:32
on a comment, you know, during a live stream.
00:52:34
And when I was playing the Chacal clip, I saw Don Francisco
00:52:38
doing like a perp, making a pervy comment, like a perv
00:52:41
comment. And I was like, Dang, I forgot
00:52:43
about this. I remember like the whole Miss
00:52:44
Miss Kolita thing that they used to do.
00:52:46
Basically it was like this contest of like I took a contest
00:52:50
of like women's butts, Miss Kolita, Miss Booty.
00:52:56
And this is a family show called Sabato Gigante.
00:53:00
But anyway, they used to have this talent show called, I don't
00:53:03
know, check out, check out was like this hooded black figure.
00:53:07
I was like a person dressed in like this full on like cover
00:53:10
your mask and everything. Cover your face with like a mask
00:53:13
all the way down. And whenever there was a bad
00:53:16
singer, they would be like wait out for like get out.
00:53:19
Get out of the audience would be like out, out.
00:53:21
And then the chakal, which was like this, this guy would come
00:53:24
out with the trumpet and be like and like you would basically
00:53:29
take you out and like you're done that the chakal came to get
00:53:32
you. That's some funny to think
00:53:33
about. Robin says hi Edwin and team
00:53:35
loving your show. I have a quick work story.
00:53:38
It's not spooky but kind of OK. So when I went on maternity
00:53:41
leave two years ago, one of my colleagues, June was ill and
00:53:45
knew she would not survive. She loved Penguins, always
00:53:49
having a trinket somewhere. I was at her funeral two weeks
00:53:52
before I gave birth and got to the office three months later.
00:53:56
I felt the absence of her, of her terribly.
00:53:59
When I opened the drawer of our flex desk, I found a sticker of
00:54:03
a Penguin or a sticker of a Penguin.
00:54:06
That was June, maybe. I'd like to think so.
00:54:11
That was June. Yeah.
00:54:13
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that was June.
00:54:14
I I read this, this comment in a live stream, too.
00:54:16
But I remember thinking like, yeah, this is how people say
00:54:20
bye. It's really sad, but also kind
00:54:24
of, I don't know, like kind of nice, right?
00:54:27
Like to get a message like that. Pretty cool.
00:54:30
Thanks a lot, Robin, for for the comments.
00:54:32
K on Chico says I love the name Little Spookies.
00:54:35
Love you, Edwin. God bless you.
00:54:36
By the way. You entertain me all through my
00:54:38
work day with your work. You're the best.
00:54:40
You're the best. K on Chico.
00:54:42
Thanks so much for for that. And I appreciate you being here.
00:54:45
This is super cool. So, you know, you know, you
00:54:47
always have a spot here at Paranormal Club.
00:54:49
Thanks so much for for all the comments on here.
00:54:51
I appreciate them. I'm glad we can still get
00:54:53
through them and read them on here.
00:54:55
We are getting a lot. We are getting a lot, which is
00:54:57
really cool. I just want to thank you guys
00:54:59
again for everything that you've done to push Paranormal Club up
00:55:04
to the top 100. I think we're 90th spot right
00:55:07
now in the United States overall.
00:55:09
Like in all the podcasts, we did it.
00:55:12
We're here. Oh, yeah, thank you so much.
00:55:14
I think that's all I have for now.
00:55:16
If you have comments, questions, you know where to reach me, drop
