In a recent episode of another one of our shows, we talked about La Mano Peluda, which was a creepy Mexican radio show. We received some questions and things to think about. Did the show become a victim of its own stories?
Also, we have some listener submitted stories!

00:00:00
Hey there, welcome to Paranormal Club.
00:00:02
This is our very first episode, so I'm super excited.
00:00:04
I've been trying to get ready for it for a very long time and
00:00:08
I'm so happy that it's finally, finally here.
00:00:10
We're here. We're video now.
00:00:12
It's not just like a an invisible voice somewhere in the
00:00:15
ether of platforms that play podcast, but also just like I'm
00:00:19
here, I'm here. So we have some very interesting
00:00:22
topics right today, which kind of involved some personal
00:00:26
stories, things that had to do with me taking phone calls from
00:00:29
people who claim to know stuff about demons.
00:00:32
Other things too is, you know, these things are really creepy.
00:00:35
So in case you are sensitive to talk about evil stuff like that,
00:00:40
demons, the devil, mention stuff like that, just put headphones
00:00:45
on so nobody else hears it. Or just protect yourself as you
00:00:49
don't have any chance for you just yet.
00:00:51
But I know that there are some protection type of little
00:00:53
rituals you can do to protect yourself.
00:00:56
You know, I should probably do that.
00:00:58
You're going to find that. Find out more about that once I
00:01:01
share my story with you. But on that topic, we're also
00:01:04
going to be answering some of the really, really interesting
00:01:06
questions about this story that we shared recently on Horror
00:01:09
Story, which is another podcast that I host.
00:01:12
This story happened to be about this radio show that eventually
00:01:16
became its own scary story. And then that led to some tragic
00:01:21
events. And there's a lot of mystery
00:01:23
that surrounds it. You know, what happened?
00:01:25
Why did it happen? So we're going to be talking
00:01:28
talking a little bit about that. Also some answering some
00:01:30
questions that were placed post episode and post, you know,
00:01:34
every other research that we made on on on that particular
00:01:38
episode. It's going to be very
00:01:39
interesting. And of course, we have some you
00:01:41
like listener submitted stories for you to listen to just a
00:01:45
couple of them. Again, this show is going to
00:01:47
depend a lot on your submissions and what you want me to explore,
00:01:50
what you want me to research. So in case there's any books,
00:01:53
movies, documentaries, something that you want to get some input
00:01:56
on, you know, from a person that's basically living scary
00:01:59
stories all the time, writing them, listening to them and
00:02:02
researching them. Let me know, you know, just send
00:02:04
them in. You can DM me on Instagram,
00:02:07
Tiktok, Facebook. You can find me at Edwin Cove
00:02:11
that's EDWINCOV or on our platforms for our podcast at
00:02:16
Scarypod on Instagram and Tiktok.
00:02:18
I mean, Instagram and Facebook, Tiktok, we have a different
00:02:21
username. I'll place everything in the
00:02:22
description of the of the episode of this this podcast.
00:02:27
So let's just get started, right.
00:02:28
First off, there was this thing that really bothered me back
00:02:34
when I was a kid and it was that, you know, whenever they
00:02:37
took away that we had this library and one day they
00:02:40
announced that they were taking away one of our favorite books.
00:02:44
And it was scary Stories to Tell in the dark.
00:02:47
I know this really bothered me because I was super into that.
00:02:50
By this time, by the way, I'm like 6-7 years old and I'm
00:02:54
already looking at magazines that have to do with, you know,
00:02:57
ghosts and hauntings. And they have those scholastic
00:03:00
little, maybe like a paragraph type of article.
00:03:03
And they used to talk a lot about that specifically.
00:03:06
That's when I realized like how passionate I was about this.
00:03:09
And I remember talking to the librarian about how I really
00:03:11
wanted to read these books and why.
00:03:13
And I loved how Miss Blanchard, which was our, our, our
00:03:16
librarian would go to our classrooms and read these
00:03:19
stories for us. So I mean, me, I was learning
00:03:22
kind of advocacy and like, you know, standing up for yourself
00:03:25
and all these rules. So whenever I found out that
00:03:29
these stories were kind of like, oh, you're not supposed to talk
00:03:33
about them, it just made them all the more intriguing.
00:03:36
And all of that led to this fateful night when you were
00:03:40
driving from Mexico from the southern part of, you know, like
00:03:43
the Tijuana area in California all the way up to Los Angeles.
00:03:47
And for those of you who aren't from California, basically the
00:03:52
drive involves going through San Diego, like the five freeway all
00:03:56
the way up north till you get to LA.
00:03:58
So it's about what 3 hour drive? I don't know.
00:04:00
It's, it's been a bit. So we were driving along and it
00:04:05
was night time. You know, you're, you have the
00:04:07
hills to the right, you have the ocean to the left and it's dark
00:04:12
and all of a sudden it's around 10:00 PM or so.
00:04:15
And we get this station, like this woman on the radio, by the
00:04:19
way, this woman, he's talking about how this doll appeared out
00:04:24
of nowhere in the middle of a room.
00:04:27
Now, of course, it just kind of throws you into the story
00:04:30
itself, Like you just kind of boom, this was happening.
00:04:33
And I was super intrigued, right?
00:04:34
I was like, is this real? Then this woman proceeds to
00:04:38
mention how her son had been afraid of the doll because the
00:04:42
son had heard it, you know, talk, walk around the house,
00:04:48
standard creepy doll type of thing.
00:04:50
You know, that kind of behavior. She didn't believe him
00:04:54
obviously, until she saw that doll appear in the middle of the
00:04:58
room. And that's when she freaked out.
00:05:01
At this time, kind of like you're listening to the story.
00:05:04
Cause the speakers are on the side of the, you know, on the
00:05:06
door. Like they're not like in the
00:05:08
front of the car like a lot of us think.
00:05:09
They're like on the side kind of behind us.
00:05:11
So I'm listening to the story and I heard my mom say like,
00:05:16
hey, you know, Sebasto Star, El Nino, like the boy's going to
00:05:19
get scared, change the OR lower it or whatever she wanted.
00:05:22
Obviously she wanted to listen to it.
00:05:24
A lot of people, you know, they love scary stories.
00:05:26
So she's listening and I kind of pretend to be asleep, kind of
00:05:31
like I'm not listening, but I was.
00:05:34
And then the next story comes on, this other guy starts
00:05:37
talking about something. And that was that.
00:05:39
That was the beginning of like, this is so interesting and I
00:05:43
want to listen to more, right? And from there, the rest is
00:05:46
history. I used to get my dad to find the
00:05:48
station at the house and we would listen to the show all the
00:05:52
time and we would get all these stories.
00:05:54
Like it was just, it would just be like everybody quiet around
00:05:57
the the living room. Sometimes we would catch them in
00:05:59
the car and it was like this weird activity where nobody said
00:06:04
anything, but everybody was like super intrigued.
00:06:07
We would only kind of talk in the in the commercials.
00:06:09
So it was, it was really cool. Anyway, that show itself, I kind
00:06:14
of, you know, grew up a little bit, forgot about it, moved on
00:06:18
and discovered other things, you know, going to middle school,
00:06:22
going to Goosebumps, got into all these other RL Stein books,
00:06:26
Stephen King for a bit. There were like all these other
00:06:30
ideas, but still within the scary realm.
00:06:33
Now comes adulthood and I'm researching, trying to look up
00:06:38
stories about, you know, I want people to send in their stories.
00:06:40
And then I find again, this show, this radio show, it's
00:06:44
called La Mano Peluda, by the way, the hairy hand.
00:06:48
And I think that that's that the official name might be like
00:06:51
Relatos Ocultos or like this or something like that.
00:06:54
But that's the gist of it, right?
00:06:56
And the Mano Peluda means it's like this, the story of this
00:06:58
hand that kind of crawls and grabs you.
00:07:00
I'm not really, I'm going to look it up so I can, I can
00:07:02
really share with you the story of the of the hairy hand.
00:07:06
It's a very interesting Mexican story.
00:07:09
But anyway, so comes adulthood and I'm all into this stuff.
00:07:13
I'm researching, I'm looking up material because I'm coming up
00:07:15
with the show in Spanish where callers basically tell me their
00:07:20
stories and we record them, edit them a little bit and then we we
00:07:23
publish. And it happened to be a lot like
00:07:26
very similar to La Mano Peluda. So I was like, this is so cool
00:07:30
because it had to it's own take obviously right on the story.
00:07:34
Eventually, you know, the podcast, one of these podcasts
00:07:37
hits we get, you know, onto the interview circle or whatever.
00:07:41
And I have this interview basically going to a podcast
00:07:45
hosted in Mexico City by these two girls, Moras Melditas, who
00:07:49
have this really cool paranormal podcast show.
00:07:52
And I'm there talking about everything and I mention it.
00:07:55
Hey, you know what some of the inspiration was La Mano Peluda
00:07:59
and one of them says, I think it's Johnny.
00:08:02
It's the one that said Otro ijo de la Mano Peluda, like another
00:08:06
child of La Mano Peluda. And I was like, huh, you know,
00:08:09
one another one of us like traumatized people that
00:08:12
basically got into the paranormal because of that show.
00:08:16
And it's such a shame too, that it's like it's only in Spanish,
00:08:19
but it also kind of gives you that like little club feeling
00:08:22
where like, oh, we get it, You know, like we we understand this
00:08:26
because it's like we grew up with this.
00:08:28
It was running from like what 1995 or 2005 to 2015, something
00:08:34
like it was it was running for a while.
00:08:36
I should actually look this up because it's like a one of those
00:08:38
like really iconic Mexican shows.
00:08:40
It was like millions of listeners all the time.
00:08:42
So beyond that, like it was, it was like one of those things
00:08:47
that really shaped the format of radio into call in and tell your
00:08:52
story, which made obviously made people feel like, oh, like the
00:08:56
host, by the way, is taking these calls with like super like
00:08:59
empathetic, super interested in the stories.
00:09:03
So everybody was basically thinking, Hey, you know what,
00:09:06
these are real, Like I can submit mine and the chain, you
00:09:10
know, just kind of started there.
00:09:11
So he's by the way, the host's name is Quan Ramon Science, who
00:09:17
unfortunately passed away. And This is why the story has
00:09:21
such a relevant tone. And here's kind of the the gist
00:09:24
of it. So you can understand the
00:09:27
stories that were shared in this this podcast were very dark.
00:09:31
Sometimes they would involve like priests joining in in the
00:09:34
calls. And such was the case of this
00:09:37
guy, Josue. The case itself is called El
00:09:41
Caso de Josue, a story where this man calls the radio saying
00:09:46
that he's calling from Memonte, California.
00:09:49
And he says that he has made deals with basically demons.
00:09:57
Now, when you hear that, you're like, OK, yeah, right, right.
00:10:00
But as he's telling the story, sometimes you hear background
00:10:04
voices, objects moving. And then he tells things that
00:10:08
sound like a confession, things that he shouldn't say on air
00:10:11
because basically he's going to go to jail.
00:10:14
You know, he says that he killed his grandmother in order to
00:10:18
obtain power. Like, the the whole story is, is
00:10:23
bizarre. So let's start from the very
00:10:25
beginning, right? So, so we don't get confused
00:10:27
here. The call begins.
00:10:30
Introduce themselves. This guy's like, hey, yeah, I'm
00:10:33
from El Monte, CA. This is what happened to me.
00:10:37
I first started learning my family was having money trouble.
00:10:40
So I started looking up how to get money through basically evil
00:10:45
powers. And he said that when the first
00:10:50
entity presented itself, it was like this a black man, like a
00:10:53
thin black man, and that he explained a lot of things to him
00:10:58
about how this works. And he did start getting power,
00:11:02
money and things like that. And he started from a very young
00:11:05
age, like from 14 onwards, or maybe the issues were when he
00:11:10
was 14. But then he started developing
00:11:12
them very early. Like he actually became a
00:11:14
bacteriologist and parapsychologist by the age of
00:11:18
20. Like he started doing very
00:11:20
interesting things at this at this at a very young age.
00:11:24
So this guy eventually, you know, starts craving money, like
00:11:28
more money. And in order to to get it and to
00:11:31
gain this communication, he gets it gets news that there's this
00:11:37
ring out there. It's called, it's supposedly
00:11:40
from like it has this like power, this cursed power to be
00:11:45
able to talk with with demons. And he does his ritual in order
00:11:50
to obtain it, but he's supposed to kill a relative.
00:11:55
He eventually decides to kill his grandmother because he he
00:11:58
goes through the choices of like, yeah, I'm not going to
00:12:01
kill my mother. I'm not going to kill my
00:12:02
brothers. Like I'm just going to kill my
00:12:04
grandma. She's about to, she's old, so
00:12:06
I'm just going to kill her, which is pretty messed up.
00:12:08
But he does it. And he does his ritual thing on
00:12:12
her where like she, he has to like he doesn't explain it, but
00:12:15
I imagine it's like markings on her body, things like that.
00:12:19
But you know, it's terrible, but he does it.
00:12:23
She passes away and when her body's discovered there are no
00:12:26
markings on it. So he got away with it.
00:12:29
And the yet he's confessing it live and on the air.
00:12:33
By the way, in future interviews, he admits that he
00:12:36
wasn't actually aware that this was going to be like straight up
00:12:39
on the air. Like he thought it was just
00:12:40
going to be like a consultation. He was going to talk to this
00:12:42
guy, the host Wanderman Science, and basically get some guidance
00:12:48
on what's what's supposed to happen.
00:12:51
Anyway, the story continues where he becomes obsessed with
00:12:56
this thing. And now these entities like
00:13:01
force him to do certain things. Like for example, he wanted
00:13:05
money. He got money, but he was
00:13:08
supposed to spend all that money that he got in that day by the
00:13:11
end of the day. And he couldn't give it away to
00:13:14
charity. He couldn't gift it to anybody.
00:13:16
He had to spend it. And the host here asks, how did
00:13:22
you spend it? What did you spend it on?
00:13:24
And he would say like, you know, we'd go to the mall and spend on
00:13:28
either jewelry or really expensive things like 4000
00:13:31
dollars, $5000 at a time. And it worked.
00:13:35
Really strange things. Eventually he, he kind of caves
00:13:41
in and gives to, gives to like a construction worker who needed
00:13:45
the money to, in order to help him out.
00:13:47
He gives them money. And that night he's visited by
00:13:50
this evil looking entity. There's like a woman with long
00:13:54
dark hair. He's freaking out because as
00:13:58
he's talking, I think this is one of the entities that he sees
00:14:01
while he's talking. He's like, she's here.
00:14:03
She's he starts crying. He like he's just like really
00:14:06
stressed out during the phone call.
00:14:08
And if you listen to it, you're gonna get that same like, why am
00:14:11
I listening to this? This is pretty bad.
00:14:13
Like this is some evil stuff going on.
00:14:15
Either way, I finished listening to the whole thing.
00:14:17
Oh, like again, before I started recording about and talking
00:14:20
about it just so that I can get the gist of it.
00:14:21
And it was it was tough. It's a very long interview.
00:14:25
But as he's talking about it, he begins to say that he wants to
00:14:28
get rid of this. He doesn't want these things
00:14:31
anymore. Like he wants to find, he wants
00:14:33
to use his powers for good. He also explains that he has
00:14:37
dealt with people that are in power right now, like at the
00:14:40
moment when he when he was recording and that they're also
00:14:43
up to no good. So some pretty strange stuff.
00:14:47
Eventually they get this priest on the line and they're like,
00:14:50
can you help us out? You know, we have this guy, he's
00:14:53
freaking out and he kind of starts to mean, what do you call
00:14:58
it when you're like telling somebody to accept Jesus?
00:15:03
Like there's a word for that process where you get, do you
00:15:07
accept Jesus in your, in your heart, something like that.
00:15:11
And he says, you know, he's saying, he's repeating all these
00:15:15
words and he's saying like you can hear all these voices and
00:15:17
things moving on the, on the line as this is happening, as
00:15:21
this is happening, But also he starts to vomit.
00:15:24
Like you can hear, you know, like if it's disgusting, I, I
00:15:28
can't really listen to that because it, it triggers
00:15:31
something, but you can hear it. And it's really weird 'cause
00:15:36
there's also a time where like he, he has a Bible with him and
00:15:39
what he's supposed to do is turn it to a certain page and like
00:15:43
read a, a thing from it. And he says that he can't, like
00:15:47
the book won't open. Like it's so heavy that he
00:15:50
can't. And the priest is telling him
00:15:51
like, keep trying, keep trying. And he's like, I can't.
00:15:54
Like it's not working. He's freaking out.
00:15:56
Eventually they, they get him to say and he relaxes a little bit.
00:16:00
They get him to say what he needs to say.
00:16:03
He, he starts saying that, OK, these entities are kind of
00:16:06
backing off. Like they're letting me, you
00:16:09
know, do my thing. It turns into like a, a more OK,
00:16:14
you're, you're going to be OK. You're going to be OK.
00:16:16
By the time that he's trying to get off the call, he says, hey,
00:16:20
if, if I can't get in touch with you again because I'm dead.
00:16:23
He doesn't say it like that, but you can tell he's like, if this
00:16:25
is the last call, thank you and, and all that.
00:16:30
And he's like, no, we are going to have this call.
00:16:31
We're going to keep in touch. This is how the host was saying
00:16:34
it. So and they did keep in touch
00:16:37
actually, like you find this out way later, like if we keep
00:16:39
researching some of the material here.
00:16:42
But Josue turns out to be like this person who was gonna change
00:16:46
the the trajectory of the show forever.
00:16:48
It became the most popular episode.
00:16:51
He also had to like he got help at a monastery in Los Angeles
00:16:55
and the the host was in touch with him trying to help him
00:16:58
through all this stuff, which I kind of found a little strange
00:17:03
because why? I mean, it's, it's a
00:17:05
storyteller, like it's somebody who's telling you something that
00:17:07
happened to them. And he didn't really connect in
00:17:10
that same way with anybody else. But he did like with this guy,
00:17:15
right? So who knows, who knows?
00:17:17
Who knows what happened there. It's there's all these theories
00:17:20
on, on maybe he was drawn to that thing that like evilness of
00:17:24
the of it all. Maybe he wanted power to.
00:17:26
I mean, I don't know if this is tainting his name because it's
00:17:28
not really like there's no like anything to back it up, right?
00:17:31
It's just things that people say on the Internet, but it was so
00:17:34
interesting to throw about it eventually.
00:17:38
The, the, this is like 8, what, eight years later, seven years
00:17:42
later, the show's ending and everybody's going to miss them.
00:17:47
La mano peluda, but Juan Ramon Science is starting a new show
00:17:51
called Extra Normal from de Vasteca in Mexico.
00:17:56
The show launches, but it doesn't go for that long,
00:17:58
unfortunately. During one of the early
00:18:01
episodes, they decide to meet up with Josue and have him actually
00:18:05
on camera. And he agrees.
00:18:07
But he's like, OK, we're going to do this interview, but it's
00:18:10
going to be where I say it's going to be.
00:18:13
And I wanted to be like, super secretive.
00:18:15
Like, it's going to have to be away from, like, land.
00:18:18
So they literally get on a boat. Like, they show up, like last
00:18:21
minute, they find out where it's going to be.
00:18:23
They show up, they get on this boat and Juan Ramon signs a
00:18:27
producer and a cameraman and he's the guy Josue is there and
00:18:33
they start talking, hey, what happened?
00:18:35
They start kind of talking about their old case, the the original
00:18:38
phone call and he's explaining all this stuff.
00:18:41
By the way, this guy at the time in the camera, you can tell he's
00:18:43
wearing this weird stuff like this spiritual looking like
00:18:47
attire a glove in his, in his right hand where supposedly the
00:18:51
ring was on and he he couldn't take it off, like he wasn't in
00:18:54
it. It was attached to him, this
00:18:56
ring, by the way, the ring that he got from sacrificing his
00:19:00
grandma was attached to him. Like he couldn't get rid of it,
00:19:03
Like it was part of him already. So pretty strange.
00:19:08
Anyway, he he's talking and you notice these strange patterns in
00:19:13
the host, like the host of the show, like the the host of the
00:19:15
original radio show. He's kind of acting a little
00:19:19
like he's trying to protect himself.
00:19:21
His hands are like over his stomach that he also like does a
00:19:24
prayer motion. Really strange.
00:19:28
Also, another thing to note is that during the interview, the
00:19:31
Josue shakes the host's hand with his right hand, but then he
00:19:36
abruptly changes to his left hand to change to shake the
00:19:38
other guy's hands. So that's a theory by the way
00:19:42
of, of what what's about to happen.
00:19:44
So interview's over. You know, they have the
00:19:49
recording, they have all that stuff.
00:19:51
And I believe it's a cameraman who had this like emergency
00:19:56
needed to get surgery from this like stomach issue that he had.
00:20:01
And the lead investigator from this program had a car accident.
00:20:07
Like after the after the interview, he said that this car
00:20:09
came out of nowhere and he's had to spear off the, the like he
00:20:13
was in just like an empty St. basically.
00:20:15
And this car came out of nowhere and he crashed into a pole and
00:20:19
he was like hospitalized for, for a bit.
00:20:21
It's pretty strange. But the worst, worst result out
00:20:24
of all of this? Was the host Juan Ramon Science?
00:20:29
He actually got mysteriously ill and he died.
00:20:36
How do you die? You know that this this is where
00:20:40
we get into some of the questions that that we got from
00:20:43
from about the episode itself, because it's very strange to
00:20:47
think about it like this. In a way, this show that talked
00:20:50
about scary stories and real para Romo phenomena ended and it
00:20:57
became its own story and its own mystery.
00:21:00
So it's so, I don't know, poetic at the same time, but it's also
00:21:04
like tragic and and ironic. You know, it's it's so strange
00:21:10
to think about it about it that way.
00:21:12
But some of the questions it obviously the the main one here
00:21:18
is that the interview with Josue Curse, Juan Ramon Science, you
00:21:22
know, like, was it a curse? Because it wasn't just one Ramon
00:21:30
Science who died the priest a few weeks later also died.
00:21:35
The priest. I was in the original call, by
00:21:37
the way, who I wasn't at this interview Afterward he died.
00:21:43
What, you know, like it it's the coincidence.
00:21:45
We can think of it as a coincidence like, oh, yeah, this
00:21:47
is all, you know, normal standard thing.
00:21:49
But but really like all of that. I don't know.
00:21:53
I don't know I, I don't I don't think it was just a coincidence.
00:21:56
I think that this there are certain entities out there.
00:21:59
There are people with abilities that are not doing this with
00:22:04
good intention, right. Even though in subsequent
00:22:06
interviews, like interviews that he did even last year, the the
00:22:11
this guy Josue says that he, he wants to use his power for good
00:22:18
now and that he was not responsible for it.
00:22:21
But that Juan Ramon Science was at this low vibration state,
00:22:25
like susceptible basically to attacks like this.
00:22:28
And also admits very eerily right admits that these entities
00:22:34
wanted Juan Ramon Science dead. So I believe it was a curse.
00:22:40
I don't know. Let me, let me know what you
00:22:42
think about this 'cause I think, I personally think it was a
00:22:44
curse. Let me see, was von Ramon
00:22:47
Science warned about spiritual consequences if he ever received
00:22:52
it. And I'm sure he did.
00:22:54
He actually, he, he says in some of the interviews that he had
00:22:57
experiences at the studio itself, like cold, like it
00:23:01
wasn't even a cold air. He described it as like this
00:23:02
coldness from under the desk, not like air conditioning, but
00:23:06
like does this cold, like freezing cold coming from under
00:23:09
the desk and other strange things happening in the studio.
00:23:12
You know, things that even other the other people there couldn't
00:23:15
explain. So I don't know, but I'm sure,
00:23:19
I'm sure he got just like I get warnings all the time where
00:23:21
people say, hey, you got to protect yourself.
00:23:24
You got to do a certain thing before you record.
00:23:27
It's just a standard. Like I think you get people who
00:23:30
want to watch out for you, which is pretty cool.
00:23:32
You know, the people who are listening do that.
00:23:35
But I'm pretty sure he got warnings specifically to Josue.
00:23:40
Not so sure another question, why did he revisit the Josue
00:23:44
story shortly before his death? It says some find it strange
00:23:49
that is just weeks before a sudden illness signs reunited
00:23:52
with Josue for a follow up documentary style interview.
00:23:55
I do find it strange find it really really strange.
00:23:59
Also, they say that his death was what Peronite, I don't know,
00:24:02
I'm not going to pronounce it right, but basically like a
00:24:05
bacteria thing in in his in his stomach.
00:24:08
And then also Josue mentioned that he was a bacteriologist.
00:24:13
Did he like poison him? Like we, we just don't know.
00:24:16
Like we didn't just know what happened.
00:24:18
Another thing here is why did others involved in the Josue
00:24:22
story also suffer misfortunes or die?
00:24:26
And that's true. Like that's what that's what I
00:24:28
just mentioned too, where why did the priest die?
00:24:31
Why do these other people get, you know, why did that guy get
00:24:33
in an accident? Why did the other guy had to go
00:24:36
under, undergo emergency surgery?
00:24:39
What's the deal with that? It's very strange.
00:24:42
It's very strange. Did Juan Ramon ever say he was
00:24:46
afraid for his life after the interview?
00:24:51
I don't know. Actually.
00:24:51
That's a good, that's a very good question.
00:24:53
Because, yeah, if anybody would know, like, I'm pretty sure we
00:24:57
could, you know, some somebody, news reporter or somebody would,
00:25:00
would have looked into it. I'm sure there has to be some
00:25:04
type of documentary of this story 'cause this is a pretty
00:25:06
big story. It's a huge show, you know, huge
00:25:09
show that just ended. By the way, the podcast is still
00:25:12
there in case you want to listen to it and Apple Podcasts and
00:25:15
Spotify. It's in Spanish though.
00:25:17
So you you'll have to like, you know, like translate, use
00:25:21
captions or something in order to, to get it.
00:25:24
But yeah, super, super interesting.
00:25:27
Did Juan Ramon believe in demonic possession or curses?
00:25:33
I mean, if you're listening to it, you're listening to stories
00:25:36
all the time and things are happening and you believe in
00:25:40
curses, why would you get close to them?
00:25:45
And what would you get close to people that are practicing or
00:25:48
looking into that kind of thing? I don't know.
00:25:50
I don't know the connection between his death.
00:25:54
Sometimes it's debated. You know, you see some every
00:25:57
once in a while I see YouTube video mention the story saying
00:26:00
that maybe he maybe the Josue Josue was not he was not telling
00:26:06
the truth. He was faking the whole thing,
00:26:08
acting it out, wanted attention, wanted, you know, making things
00:26:13
up like that, which there are people who do that.
00:26:16
I get it, I get it, I get it, people do that.
00:26:18
But all that, you know, brings up the idea of stuff that I do
00:26:23
because I also listen to scary stories like direct, you know,
00:26:28
people calling me and telling me their scariest stories.
00:26:31
And this happens weekly, right? Multiple stories of a week where
00:26:36
they tell me stories from anything from shadow figures to
00:26:40
demonic entities, possession mysteries, creepy creatures in
00:26:45
the woods. Like I hear all this stuff and,
00:26:47
and it really makes me think like, how can I protect myself?
00:26:51
Because there was one story that I've talked about it in other
00:26:53
podcasts too, which is the story of Amy, who told me this story
00:27:00
early on. It's called 3 Faceless Demons.
00:27:02
We can actually talk with her. I think it'd be cool to have her
00:27:04
as a guest sometime. But she told me the story that,
00:27:09
I mean, it's it's a pretty long story, but there's a certain
00:27:12
section where she says that she is being, she can see herself
00:27:15
lying in bed and she is being surrounded by three faceless
00:27:21
demons. And she's actually very afraid
00:27:26
now. At the time we were talking,
00:27:28
when we were talking literally on like a webcam, my lights, my
00:27:34
lights behind me started to flick.
00:27:35
I'm I'm like a little nervous, like told me that these don't
00:27:38
flicker, but like it started flickering literally started
00:27:41
like flickering behind me. And she could she she would see
00:27:44
it and used to be like, can you see that this is?
00:27:47
And then we noticed a pattern. Whenever she said the word
00:27:51
demon, it would happen. It was really weird.
00:27:55
Eventually at one point she like, she screams and she like
00:27:59
scared the heck out of me. She screams, her phone died.
00:28:03
It just, you know, the battery just died.
00:28:05
And I waited for her to charge it up and like connect again.
00:28:09
But I mean, the, it, it was really strange 'cause I still
00:28:13
stayed on the line. So you can hear, hear like it's
00:28:14
just Dead Space for a bit. And then I tell her I'm like,
00:28:19
what was up with that, with the, with the demon?
00:28:20
And we started kind of experimenting with it.
00:28:22
And when she said demon again, turned off.
00:28:27
It was weird. Fast forward to when we're
00:28:30
editing the story, you know, I'm editing the story at this time,
00:28:33
going through the audio trying to figure it out.
00:28:37
The the first the audio had trouble transferring, you know,
00:28:40
like from from the recorder from the the system that used to
00:28:43
record to like our editing thing.
00:28:46
And then trouble again once we had the edit to export it,
00:28:50
export the actual file that we upload and then on upload had
00:28:53
another issue, which was it just wasn't working.
00:28:55
Like it was like this strange, like sound.
00:28:59
It was like a staticky sound. It was really weird, really,
00:29:03
really weird. And that was that was the thing.
00:29:06
Finally, eventually we got it uploaded.
00:29:08
There was a lot of hate that came from like not hate, just
00:29:10
complaints because people were like, how could you publish?
00:29:13
This is terrible. Like you should have warned us.
00:29:15
And it's true. I should have warned people more
00:29:17
about like what the story was about because there's a very
00:29:20
interesting line at the end that Amy says, which is everybody
00:29:25
that I tell the story to, something happens.
00:29:30
And I remember that. Fast forward a year or so, my
00:29:35
sister's in my studio and she's printing something out and she
00:29:40
asked me, has anything weird ever happened here?
00:29:45
And I say, yeah, you know, I remember Amy's story.
00:29:47
And I'm like, yeah, you know what?
00:29:48
One time I got the story about 3 faceless demons.
00:29:52
And right when I said demon, my sister screams like freaks me
00:29:57
out. And she's, I'm like, what
00:29:59
happened? What happened?
00:30:00
She's like, your LED light just flickered.
00:30:03
And I was like, no way, you know, like, 'cause I mean, I'm
00:30:08
facing away from it, She's facing me, right?
00:30:11
And I told her about the lights flickering in the story and we
00:30:15
connected it. We were like, is this real?
00:30:19
Like, is this happening? It was really strange.
00:30:22
It was really strange. Other things that happened too,
00:30:26
you know, like with involving my sister, like she can back me up
00:30:29
here, like I know she can't, she can back me up 'cause she was
00:30:32
there. But also we, we took this call
00:30:35
recently about this, this person who's claiming that his house
00:30:38
was like objects were moving, things were happening in his
00:30:43
house due to this, this girl who was talking about this evil
00:30:50
looking demon drawing. Like it was this drawing that we
00:30:53
have. We have all the data that we're
00:30:54
actually working on the story now.
00:30:56
But I'm telling her this story about how when you were first
00:30:59
recording, actually, I might find that audio here to show
00:31:02
you. But like when you were recording
00:31:04
it, we had this anomaly in the microphone and it, it scared me
00:31:11
because we're talking about demons, you know, and, and I'm
00:31:16
like nervous laughing, right, 'cause this is, it's really
00:31:18
eerie. Like it's really weird to think
00:31:19
about this. But now I'm not gonna be able to
00:31:22
find it now. But remind me, like I, I have to
00:31:24
get that audio. But it, it's a short story where
00:31:26
he, where a short part of the, the recording where he's
00:31:29
talking. And as he's talking, his voices
00:31:32
gets like really and really low. Anyway, I'm telling my sister
00:31:37
about this story. No, she actually, she doesn't
00:31:39
know about the story yet. This is another time.
00:31:41
This is recently, like last month or a couple months ago,
00:31:45
and she says that when I go into the living room, she says that
00:31:50
somebody knocked three times on the door and when they went to
00:31:55
open it, nobody was there. Now, if you're familiar with the
00:31:59
three knocks, they say that you shouldn't open when it's three
00:32:03
times because they're mocking the Holy Trinity.
00:32:07
It's bizarre to think about it like that.
00:32:10
So some things I generally don't want to believe, but I do
00:32:13
because I see proof of it. So, you know, just about there
00:32:19
and, and people have sent me sage to burn crystals to try to
00:32:24
protect myself. I don't know how to use them,
00:32:26
but I'm going to be learning how all that stuff works.
00:32:28
Obviously there are stones that you can use for protection.
00:32:33
So there's a lot of stuff to look into.
00:32:35
There's a lot of stuff to look into, but those are my story, my
00:32:37
stories with demonic entities and, and all that.
00:32:41
These things really freak me out, just like witches.
00:32:44
So we're going to see a lot more of that content because
00:32:47
obviously it's what freaks me out.
00:32:49
It's, it's, it's what, well, sometimes when I'm researching,
00:32:53
I'm, I'm like, this is this is, this is something else.
00:32:55
Like is there really a hierarchy of these, these things out
00:32:59
there? It's so interesting to learn
00:33:02
about. But also you kind of have to
00:33:03
watch how deep you go into it because the risk of if it's
00:33:08
real, the risk is real, like as in it's big.
00:33:12
And if it's not, is like, is it worth it?
00:33:14
Was it worth it to find out about it?
00:33:16
I don't know. I don't know.
00:33:18
But those are some of my my creevy stories.
00:33:21
But we're going to be moving on. We're going to be moving on to
00:33:24
some of the submitted stories, which thankfully don't involve
00:33:29
demon talk anymore. By the way, you want to submit
00:33:31
your own story Find Me Instagram is going to be at Scarypod
00:33:37
TikTok scary story pod. I believe links is are going to
00:33:41
be in the description of the of the episode.
00:33:44
Anyway, here is what we have listeners submitted story.
00:33:47
This one comes in from Margaret and this was actually shared
00:33:50
also on our I believe it was shared on our live stream.
00:33:55
Maybe not. No, I don't think this one was
00:33:57
here we go. My friends and I would frequent
00:34:01
another older cemetery in the city, appropriately named
00:34:05
Fairview. It's my favorite in the city and
00:34:08
it's truly beautiful. My now 18 year old frequents
00:34:12
there after school. Now.
00:34:14
My friends and I were edgy goth kids in 2000 to 2003 and I'm
00:34:19
still kind of goth. But that's neither here.
00:34:21
Neither here nor there as an edgy goth kids would, we would
00:34:25
frequent Fairview after dark. We would walk the paths and we
00:34:29
were never destructive or disrespectful.
00:34:32
We just appreciated the peace, mostly.
00:34:36
There was one path we stopped walking one night.
00:34:39
We're up to our usual shenanigans, joking and talking
00:34:43
about when we all joking and talking when we all fell silent,
00:34:47
moving closer together. The air had gotten heavy, nearly
00:34:51
oppressive. We started moving closer
00:34:54
together and increased our pace and I swear to this day I saw
00:34:58
red eyes on one of the trees. You ran to another different to
00:35:03
a different area of the cemetery.
00:35:05
All of us freaked out and not sure what to say.
00:35:08
We anonymously decided it was time to leave the cemetery and
00:35:13
went down by the river instead. We never went down this path
00:35:17
again, even during the day. I was talking to my oldest and
00:35:22
she says that there's something angry in that area of the
00:35:25
graveyard. She doesn't go on that path
00:35:27
either 20 years later. That's a creepy story for
00:35:32
Margaret there. That is so so eerie.
00:35:37
The second story that we have is also pretty short.
00:35:39
This one comes from Ariel and it says I used to have these beads
00:35:44
that hung in my doorway. It was all the rage in the early
00:35:47
2000s lol. And I always slept with my door
00:35:50
closed because I have because I had some belief that nothing
00:35:53
could get to me if my door was closed at night, like ghosts
00:35:56
etcetera. Many nights I would be woken up
00:35:59
to the sound of the beads clicking on my door as if
00:36:02
someone was moving them around. I can't count how many times I
00:36:06
mustered the courage to whip the door open only to find nothing
00:36:10
on the other side. I always just told myself that
00:36:14
it was my cats, but I would find them fast asleep on my parents
00:36:17
bed. I suffered from insomnia as a
00:36:20
child as I was terrified of the night and sleeping in my haunted
00:36:24
house, so I would stay up into the early hours on many nights,
00:36:29
some particularly terrifying nights, just as I was relaxed
00:36:32
enough to shut my eyes, I would hear the subtle creak of my
00:36:36
closet door ever so slowly opening.
00:36:41
It got to the point that sleeping in my own room was too
00:36:44
terrifying, especially when my closet door was now opening on
00:36:47
its own. I can't even count how many
00:36:50
times I heard footsteps walking up the stairs hallway at night
00:36:55
and then just stopping at my door.
00:36:59
I would sit there in bed, literally shaking in fear just
00:37:03
waiting for my bedroom door to open.
00:37:06
There were nights when I would sleep with my door closed and
00:37:10
wake up with an open. I would question my parents to
00:37:14
see if they had come into my room at night and they swore up
00:37:17
and down that they didn't leave my door open.
00:37:21
I still tell myself it was them just not remembering opening my
00:37:26
door. Well, you know that it's, it's a
00:37:32
common thing to when people experience paranormal phenomena
00:37:36
like ghosts, like visual visually seeing ghosts or
00:37:40
hearing footsteps and staying up all night because of it somehow
00:37:44
making it worse because the lack of sleep actually, you know,
00:37:49
kind of twists your reality a little bit more.
00:37:52
So plus, if we, if we see something, our mind's already
00:37:57
going to be acceptable to it, you know, because we saw it, we
00:38:00
saw it one time, we might see it again.
00:38:02
And it's now it's open to it. It's very interesting thing.
00:38:05
I used to be afraid of, of things like that when I was a
00:38:06
kid for a little bit. I don't, I don't know if I ever
00:38:09
got over it or if I just don't remember what I saw.
00:38:13
But yeah, I'm trying to. I'm like thinking now I actually
00:38:17
have an experience I might share in in the next episode.
00:38:20
So I'm excited. I'm excited to hear what what
00:38:24
your next stories are gonna be. I'm looking for cult stories for
00:38:27
next week. So in case you have anything
00:38:29
that has to do with, I guess the topic is more of when your
00:38:32
friends join a cult, as in it can be anything from like an MLM
00:38:37
to things like an actual cult religion or something.
00:38:41
I don't know. I don't know, we don't want to
00:38:43
get sued in that episode by the way, because these these things,
00:38:46
these cults have a lot over these cult like groups have a
00:38:51
lot of money. So you want to watch out for
00:38:54
that. So anyway, if you have any of
00:38:55
those types of stories, send them in.
00:38:57
I'm also looking for forest and creatures from the woods type of
00:39:00
stories, encounters of when you're camping or stuff like
00:39:03
that. Please send them my way.
00:39:05
I'm going to be putting them together in an episode.
00:39:07
So for now, that concludes our paranormal club, our very first
00:39:11
meeting. Super excited to to get this
00:39:13
going. So thank you so much for
00:39:15
listening. As always, you can find me in
00:39:18
the with all the links and stuff that are in the description also
00:39:21
on paranormalclub.com. Thank you so much for watching
00:39:24
or seeing if you're on our team audio people.
00:39:28
But until next time, thank you very much for listening.
00:39:30
Keep it scary. See you soon.
