This story is about my aunt who was pregnant with my eldest

cousin. She lived in the Marshall

Islands before she moved to the States.

In our culture, when a woman is pregnant, she is not to be left

alone at night. It was a big no, no.

Everybody knew this. The reasons for this is because

we have this ancient demon who likes to hide in trees and only
00:01:54
come out at night. I don't think we have a
00:01:56
translation for what we call the demon, but whenever you say this
00:02:00
demon, people from the Marshall Islands know what you're talking
00:02:04
about. My aunt was really going through
00:02:06
a tough time because my uncle, her husband, just started
00:02:10
working for the airport as a mechanic and he had he was just
00:02:13
under probation. And my aunt was hearing
00:02:15
footsteps walking down her hallway to the living room where
00:02:19
she was sleeping at. Or she wakes up or she would
00:02:22
wake up in the middle of the night and feel like someone was
00:02:25
standing over her scratching her body.
00:02:28
After her and my uncle argued, she would hear someone calling
00:02:33
her name. It would be a man's voice that
00:02:36
was whistling right next to her ear.
00:02:38
And she would smoke flowers right out of nowhere.
00:02:42
She was really drained physically and emotionally
00:02:44
because you can't sleep during the day.
00:02:46
She was also working. She can't sleep at night because
00:02:49
that thing was always bothering her.
00:02:52
She had no one to talk to about this because her parents and
00:02:55
siblings were all in the United States attending school or were
00:02:59
there for medical treatments. So she was all alone.

This demon is old, like once you have one, it's hard to get it
00:03:09
out. This demon likes to play tricks
00:03:11
on you. He likes to kick you when you're
00:03:14
down. You can't get help from the
00:03:17
church, but that thing will just run and hide and wait until you
00:03:21
least expect it and then come back.
00:03:25
You have to get a Marshallese healer, a kind of a white witch,
00:03:29
to do a traditional cleansing before they can kill this demon.

So after a few weeks or a few months of going through this, an
00:03:37
elderly man knocked on her door and asked if she was OK and if
00:03:42
she's experiencing strange things at home.
00:03:46
She was super relieved when someone else who isn't my uncle
00:03:48
could sense them too. This elderly man was a healer
00:03:53
and he said that when he was walking past my aunt's trailer
00:03:57
he felt this dark energy. I don't know if he saw someone
00:04:01
looking out the trailer window or not, but he just knew that
00:04:04
something was there. He told my aunt that he will
00:04:08
help her and come back the next day so she would have to wait it
00:04:11
out. Wait it out another night.
00:04:14
So she did and the old man came back.
00:04:17
He came back with coconut leaves, marshallese, coconut
00:04:20
oil, lumber and some other stuff.

The next morning he came back and told my aunt that they're
00:04:26
going to look for the demons hiding spot.

They went in the house and nothing.
00:04:31
But when they went outside under my aunt's plumeria tree, the old
00:04:36
man saw a black hole right in the middle of the tree.

The old man said that it's in the hole, so he covered up the
00:04:44
hole with leaves and tied it with ropes and started hitting
00:04:47
the tree with coconut leaves. My aunt said that she started
00:04:50
feeling like fainting and getting weaker when the old man
00:04:53
was hitting the tree. I guess because the demon really
00:04:56
attached itself to my aunt and probably whatever the demon was
00:04:59
feeling, my aunt was feeling as well.

After all the beating and the chanting the old man was doing,
00:05:08
my aunt said it started feeling like you can actually see the
00:05:10
sunlight coming through the leaves and she felt so light and
00:05:15
all the heaviness was gone. And then the old man said that
00:05:19
he's going to cut the tree where the demon was, but apologized
00:05:23
because after he cuts down that part of the tree, there won't be
00:05:26
flowers on that tree anymore. So he cut it off and started
00:05:30
burning the tree and my aunt said the fire almost looked like
00:05:33
someone was laying on top of it. Not like a wood or anything but
00:05:38
like you can see something on top of the flames.

And the old man said that if he would have walked past her house
00:05:46
the demon would have made my aunt kill her baby.

Now my aunt is in her late 50s and my cousin was born with no
00:05:55
problems. In some of our other posts on

decided to move. Accounting up there before we

moved there was one day after after 5:00 PM where I needed to

make copies in the printer. Downstairs is not working, so I

came to the one that was upstairs.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw a man walk up from the area

that was empty at the time, carrying a briefcase and wearing

a bowler hat. You know, the one with the old

fashioned hats from the old days.

I remember thinking that's odd and walked to the hallway to see
00:07:58
who it was because I knew no one should be in that area.

It didn't take me but a few seconds to reach where he was

and should have been able to see him either going down the
00:08:08
stairs, the elevator door closing if you'd gone in there

and hear it too, or him walking through the double doors at the

end of the hall. I did not see or hear anything.

I walked through the doors and saw no one in that room.

I freaked out and grabbed the papers I was copying and flew

back downstairs because I knew there was no way I was staying

up there by myself. I told the Co worker that was

still working with me what happened and they nonchalantly

said Oh yeah this place is haunted I'm sorry but excuse me.

And they then begin to tell me that the person who opens the

building would hear someone running upstairs When they would

go to investigate, no one was up there.

After hearing that I did not come up here willingly by myself

anymore. Someone had to come with me.

A few months after that incident they moved a department up to

the empty area. It was fine during the day.

The only weird thing was that you could feel movement through

the floor when people with heavy steps walked by.

It's a significant feeling. One night I was behind and

needed to stay after hours so I decided to be brave and stay by
00:09:23
myself. I happened to be storming

outside, which I usually find soothing but not this day.

While I was working I felt the movement of someone walking by

and looked out the windows to the hallway and saw no one.

I went to the doors and looked out to see if maybe I just

missed them and Nope, there was no one.

I booked it right after that. No thank you.

I waited downstairs for my ride and if it wasn't for the rain I

would have waited outside. There have been stories from

others as well. An old Co worker used to hate

going to the upstairs restroom alone.

She said that the last toilet would always flush by itself

when no one else was in there. She started making one of us go

with her because she was so scared.

And in that same restroom I saw someone walk in and to that

specific stall. I got out to wash my hands and

when I looked at the stall I saw the door open.

No one was there even though I knew I saw someone go in.

I walked right out and pretended I saw nothing.

Another time during the day, I walked out of the department to

go towards the restroom when I felt that someone was rushing up

behind me. I moved to get out of the way

but no one was there. The embarrassing part was that

the owner had just turned the corner and saw the whole thing.

She asked what was wrong and I told her that I could have sworn

I felt someone rushing up behind me.

She then says, you know this place is haunted right?

I just nodded and fate cried as I proceeded to the haunted

bathroom. 12 years later and I still work late nights.

I just got used to it and started telling myself it's all

in my head just to keep saying a girl has to get that work done

I had multiple paranormal experiences in different offices

working for the same company. The first office was a huge call

center of about 40 cubicles with several offices in the very

back. I would work 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM

at a long desk behind A5 foot counter by the front of door of
00:12:24
the office. That that area overlooked a sea
00:12:28
of cubicles. I was assigned to use one of the
00:12:31
three computers there. The last shift would leave and I
00:12:34
would arrive at 11:00 PM and and the next shift would arrive at
00:12:37
5:00 AM. Majority of the staff would
00:12:39
start at 7:00 in the morning at the end of my shift.

Now several times a month the atmosphere would change in the

office after midnight. The atmosphere felt extremely

heavy and during this time I would see a lot of things and

movement out of the corner of my eyes.

I tried rarely to look up for my desk and would read books or

listen to podcasts in between calls.

I would rarely see things at the corner of my eyes when the

atmosphere was normal. 1 shadow person here and there may be a

couple of times a shift but not every day.

But when the atmosphere was thick it seemed to make the room

feel full of people. But I was the only one there.

I would see a lot more grey shadow people ranging in height

from a 5 year old child to A55 foot adult throughout the office

in different places until around 5:00 in the morning.

It would be different size Oval shaped blobs ranging from a

couple of inches to about a foot tall covering most of the floor

in between my desk and the start of the cubicles, mixed in with a

lot of shadow people. Now there was about an 8 foot

gap of open floor between me and the start of the cubicles, but I

never saw any of the blobs or shadow people on the floor

behind or around me. Shadow person that bothered me

the most was a male would drag himself across the floor on his

stomach. I don't know why I knew he was

male, I just knew the man was maybe 5 foot or just over, all

in one color, medium light Gray like all the shadow people in

the blondes. At the corner of my eye I would

always see movement. The man on his stomach, one arm

stretched out in front of him, dragging his body forward.

He never saw the same arm, the chain between the left and the

right. Each time I would see him, when

the atmosphere was heavy, this man was all over the office,

coming and going in between the cubicles and either going right

or left on the floor between my desk and the start of them.

One night I saw the man directly right of me crawling into my

space. It was the entrance to my desk,

and as soon as I saw him I threw my feet up on the chair next to

me and looked all around me to see where he went.

I could not find him. I did not put my feet down until

I had to go to the bathroom or go to break.

I would only set my feet down on the floor while sitting at my

desk when the 5:00 AM shift came in.

Sometimes during the busier seasons, I had a coworker stay

with me until 1:00 AM and she worked on the computer next to

coworker asked how I liked working the night shift.

It wasn't busy and had no supervisors until the end of my

yellow when I closed them. The next thing I saw were faces

of three women looking directly down at me about 3 feet above

me, one on the right, one on the left and one directly in front

of me as if she was standing on my lap looking down at me.

They were yellow in color from the fluorescent lights.

They had long hair done done up like Victorian women and I could

see their lips, nose and eyes but I but it seemed just out of

focus where I could not see their whole faces.

They opened my eyes immediately my put my feet on the ground and

sat up. I looked around the room and no

one was there, not even the shadow person.

It was not one of those nights with heavy atmosphere though,

otherwise I would have never closed my eyes.

My head was still killing me. So I put my feet back up and

leaned my head back and as soon as I closed my eyes the faces of

the three women were inches from my face.

I panicked and it opened my eyes.

Now we just have to work the rest of my shift with the

migraine. The other experiences were in an

office building about 5 blocks away.

I was scared and I did not want to move so I only started

opening my eyes. That's when I see smoke above my

head. It looked strange and I froze.

I moved my eyes around the room and nothing was on fire.

The smoke was about four foot long and 1 foot wide with shades

of light Gray to dark Gray with some black.

It was not disappearing and lighting in color as it rolls to

the ceiling. It stayed thick and had the same
00:19:11
grades of black and Gray. And then I noticed it was not
00:19:15
moving directly up, but to my left.

And then the smoke movement was slow and choppy, like how a
00:19:22
snake moves, but jerky movements instead of just smooth.

It was heading toward the gap between the exterior wall and
00:19:31
the beam. It seemed to take forever before
00:19:34
it reached the ceiling and wiggled its way directly into
00:19:38
it. I'd only been asleep for about
00:19:40
10 minutes, and my alarm on my phone did not go off.

I was wide awake and I was not dreaming.

My employers moved us to a smaller office 2 hallways behind

the elevator. About six months later, more

employees started to work from home and they needed a smaller

office. I was assigned the desk closest

to the entrance to the office. This place was not creepy.

This time the hallway was that limited lights on it because it

was in the middle of the night and I was the only person

allowed to work on the 9th floor.

The building had strict rules about it.

I was always to take my lunch before 2:30 AM.

The atmosphere would change in the hallways after 2:30.

It would become heavy and creepy, like you were being

watched or followed. And one night I had to.

I had a really long call and when I finished I realized it

was past 2:30 and I had to pee really bad too, so I forced

myself to leave my office. I turned left from it and about

four doors down where 2 halls merge into one.

I normally make a sharp right to the parallel hallway and then a
00:20:56
left to 1/3 hallway to the bathroom.

When I turned that sharp right to the parallel hallway, I

stopped immediately. The atmosphere was extremely
00:21:07
heavy all of a sudden and he was weighing you down.

Directly in front of me were 5 black circles on the hallway
00:21:16
carpet, maybe 3 feet in diameter.

It was as if an adult was standing outside when the sun
00:21:24
was at its highest and cast a shadow around the person's feet.

I could only see the circles, but I could feel beings were
00:21:32
standing there. I told myself someone must have
00:21:35
spilled some food on the carpet and I really had to go to the
00:21:39
bathroom. So I carefully stepped in
00:21:41
between the circles, had just enough room to step in between
00:21:46
them carefully not to step over them and make it to the
00:21:49
bathroom. And then I left to go to the
00:21:52
kitchen on the opposite direction I came from.
00:21:55
And when I left the bathroom, the circles were still there.

With the heavy feeling, I got my lunch, then came back to the
00:22:04
original way I came. I stopped at the bathroom and
00:22:08
saw the circles were still there.

I stepped carefully around them and quickly went back to my
00:22:14
office and had my lunch. By 5 AMI really had to go to the
00:22:19
bathroom again. Reluctantly, I left the office,
00:22:22
but as soon as I stepped out of the place, the air was light and
00:22:27
like I was floating. I made my way to where the
00:22:30
hallways merged and made the sharp right.

There was no black spots. The carpet was its original
00:22:37
light Gray and brown pattern. There was no black or dark
00:22:41
colors in the carpet. Six months later, removed to an
00:22:46
office close to the kitchen. All I had to do was step out of
00:22:49
my office and walk to the other end of the hallway to the
00:22:51
kitchen. The office was great, there was
00:22:54
no creepiness to it and hallway the hallway light was light with
00:22:57
no heavy feeling but So one night at one AMI step out of my
00:23:03
office and go to the bathroom and as soon as I stepped out of
00:23:06
the office I felt a woman to my right at the start of the second
00:23:10
hallway staring at me. I knew she was not alive.

I was the only person on the floor at night so I immediately
00:23:18
turned to my left to face a painting on the wall.

As I closed the office door with my left hand in the glass frame
00:23:24
painting I saw a woman standing 2 feet behind me.

She was just over 5 foot and straight, hair down to her
00:23:33
shoulders, soaking wet as she had just came out of the ocean.

In her clothing she was all medium light grey and I could
00:23:41
see the outline of her body, head and hair.
00:23:45
I could feel how wet she was and this went on for about a few
00:23:49
seconds and then she disappeared.

Once her reflection disappeared from the glass frame, I
00:23:56
reluctantly turned around and she was gone.

I felt like she wanted to know what I was doing there and that
00:24:05
she was not going to harm me. I hope you like the stories,

they are a little strange. I know that this happens.

I think it's the first time that we actually really get a story

abnormal weird figures and stuff like that that are actually like

straight up out of a horror movie.

your day-to-day lives, because sometimes we see things that

make no sense, as in things that just have no logical explanation

to how we can even see that. For example, when we see an

object floating, there's no reason for it.

floaty thing like a, like a, a white spongy ball that's

floating down a hall and kind of disappears under a bed.

And it wasn't seen by just one person, but multiple people.

So they actually look to see what it was 'cause something

physical, something floating. And I, I think the very first

time this is what I would call like the uncanny or just, there

has to be a word for it where we see things that just make

absolutely no sense. The dark spots, right?

One time I was doing, we were, we were going through a ghost

tour in Portland in Oregon. And we're in this parking lot

where there used to be this house there that got burned

down. And some of the reasoning behind

it was very, I guess paranormal in nature.

They had no explanation to why it was triggered, why it

happened. And as the guy was telling the

story, I kind of look out of the corner of my eye to like I see

something. So I look, I turn my head and on
