What we are about to hear is the experience of an entire family. You had to find a way to balance the frightening events that were following and affecting all of them. Being only eight at the time and in another country, Jackie never thought she'd get to experience this for herself, and so she traveled to meet them for the first time. My name is Edwin and here is jackie true scary story. I have an auntie that in her early twenties, she actually had gone an apartment because she had my baby cousin and she was a young mom so at the time, like her husband didn't want anything to do with my baby cousin, so she was like, Okay, I'm just going to get my own place. But she said that when she first moved into the apartment, she took off. She just thought it out to be like, oh, maybe it's just like the fact that I'm alone now and it's just weird. And she ended up moving in and she was like, Okay, I just need to get settled in and just get all of my stuff in here. I believe it was like a blue, bluish greenish apartment and it wasn't a really quiet and it was like an abandoned area in Mexico. Like a lot of places are like really abandoned and they're like really worn out because they're really old. You have that one house on the street that's just really lonely and weird, and everybody's, oh my god, it's really haunted. So that's what it was like where my auntie lived. It was just really torn down. But she didn't have any anywhere else to live, and my grandma didn't have space in her house, so she lived in the apartment for a while. And she had told me this story a lot too, but she just said that the apartment was really damn When she walked in, she found that kind of weird because it was daytime, so it was just dark in there, and everything felt like weird to her. But she just thought it was like, there's nothing in the apartment, so obviously it's gonna feel like not your home. Yet, she continued, she moved in. Everything was fine for the first three months, and then when my baby cousin turned one, she said that my baby cousin started talking about like this girl, like this girl would come and play with her. My auntie did not let anyone in her house if it was like my family. Other than that, she wouldn't let anyone else play with her cause she was really swall and like fragile. So my Auntie was just always around, and so my Auntie thought it was weird. But she just thought, oh, kids make imaginary friends all the time. But it just got worse and really creepy from there because my baby cousin like, yeah, like my friend wants to hang out, Like my friend wants to go play outside, and my Auntie was like, my aunty just thought it was imaginary. So she would let her gods heead and just go outside with her. But she started sitting with her hair would get pulled, it would get lift with somebody would like playing with her hair, little things, but she would have dolls on the floor and they would move and in front of her eyes, She's like, oh my god, something is really wrong. And I think that when she started realizing what was going on whatever, like the spirit, the demon, whatever, it was realist, Oh my god, she knows that I'm communicating with her daughter until she ended up calling my grandma, and my grandma called the priest that they knew she was a family friend. She explained the whole situation to him, and she was like, something really weird is going on with my daughter. She's been playing with this little girl, which I thought was imaginary, but I'm seeing things move. This is real, Like I'm not playing. And so the priest went to bless the house and he said that, and he walked in, he felt a very dark presence. I remember my auntie saying, yeah, I felt that when I moved in, but I just thought it was because there was no furniture, but it was dark in there. It felt like you were in a dark tunnel and there was nobody else in the house with you, even though there was a lot of people there. And so the priest was like, he just busts the house. Everything's fine. He talked to my baby cousin. He was like, oh, what do you see. She, in her own way, tried to say she had really long dress and she had really dark hair, and she was like she never shows her face, and that really freaked her out, and she was like, Okay, something is really not okay. The priest basically told her that this little girl comes back, just tell her that you can't play with her anymore and that she needs to go. So I guess that told my baby cousin started doing two years later. She would still bring it up every now and then, all this little girl's here right now, and my Auntie would just be like, just ignore her, just leave her alone. And I think that over the years that really angered the spirit and resented my auntie, and that's like where it got really bad. So when my auntie turned twenty six, she had been feeling stick and she just thought, like, people get sick, it's fine, whatever. But it was very strange because she started getting these really weird bruises on her body and she couldn't explain them because she would just be laying down on her bed and she would wake up with bruises on her hand, on her feet, and she just thought, okay, like whatever, it's okay. Like she thought it was iron deficiency at first. So she went to the doctor, said everything was fine and she didn't feel like any pain. Those bruises a suit. She thought it was weird. So she called my grandma and my grandma was like, okay, maybe something is wrong again. She thought it was the spirit, and so my grandma was like, okay, we need to call the priest again. And the priest went. It was the same person. He was really well known in the area, and so my Auntie called him and he came over again, and this time she refused to step in the house. He said something was very wrong and that he couldn't bless the house because the spirit wouldn't let him in. And my Auntie was she was really traumatized. She was really scared when he had said I can't come in, like they're not letting me come in, and so the phrase was like, I could just bless the doorway, but I can't come in because if I come in, they're going to do something to me. He just blessed the doorway and she was like, hey, I'll do whatever you can. And so my Auntie she started thinking about it. She was like, Okay, I need to move out. Something is wrong. But it was the spirit logged her in that apartment and wouldn't let her live, wouldn't let her go out and do stuff because she was always in pain or something was always wrong with her. My Auntie felt like she couldn't get out of bed sometimes because she was in so much pain. Nobody had an explanation for it, like how are you gonna Nothing is wrong. You go to the doctor. Nothing is wrong with you, but you just feel sick. My grandma told her to just move in with me, and so my auntie she started getting her stuff ready. She generally wanted to leave because she felt it was just getting really bad. She had said that she had a really weird smell in the house as she was moving her things out. Really weird taps and knocks would happen when she was trying to do things. I think the strangest thing that she felt in that house was that the cabinet doors were there was knives, like it would always be open, and the knives it would be like if someone went through the whole drawer and just ruined the whole thing. My Aunty's a really organized person, so she always made sure everything was clean. But every time the drawer would be open, the knives were just everywhere, and she thought that was very strange, and she asked my cousin. She was like, are you doing this? And she was like no, Like I don't even know where those are, Like why would I do that? And my Auntie was just like, Okay, we really need to leave, and so she started speeding things up. She started moving her things out, and my grandma was like, okay, we need to. She had furniture there that was still pretty good, so she wanted to take it. And like in the meantime, she was like, Okay, I'll just stay over at the apartment while we get stuff situated so that like I still have to pay the last month of rent, so she was like, okay, I just make the most of it. And so my auntie she stayed there by herself one night and that's when it just it escalated so quickly that my grandma was just like my grandma was the night before. She said she felt really weird and she just she called my mom. And I remember because my mom, when I was really young, my mom would always be on the phone with my grandma. But she was really creeped out by the phone call and she just told me to go to my room. I remember that specific day because it was just really like a weird phone call, and my mom never has those type of phone calls with my grandma. My grandma was like telling her life, have a really weird feeling and something really awful is going to happen, and she didn't know to who, but she felt really anxious and so my mom was just like, you know what, like maybe just tired, like you haven't been sleeping, and my grandma did work a lot, so she just thought it was that and left it at that. The night that my auntie stayed at her apartment by herself, she remembers that she fell asleep, like she fell into a really deep sleep. And my Auntie is not a deep sleeper, like anything could wake her up, but if you walk in or you just check up on her, like she'll wake up. And so she said that she fell asleep, and she did. It was like before she fell asleep, she felt heavily tired, so she ended up like falling asleep really fast. My Auntie said that she felt something very strange however, her and she said that it felt like she couldn't open her eyes, and she thought it was like, well, like when I was hearing this story, I was like, she didn't tell me the specific details when I was younger, but as I got older, she would tell me these things. And I thought it out to be like sleep paralysis because I've had that before and it was like the same feeling. But she said that it was somebody was sitting on her and I understood that feeling, but she said that it was like someone was physically there and she couldn't open her eyes. She just couldn't open her eyes at all. She did try to wake up, but she couldn't in that moment, and she knew that it wasn't a dream because she could hear the sirens of the police officers, because it was always like crimes around where she lived. She knew that it wasn't a dream because she could hear the gunshots and everything that was happening around her. She was like, if I just go back to sleep, everything's going to be fine. It's just going to be a dream. She did that, but when she tried to fall asleep, she said she felt like somebody just lifted her, felt like she was levitating, and she thought, oh my god, like she was freaking out on the integration. She couldn't wake up. She was so scared and she couldn't do anything because she felt like somebody else was taking over her body and she couldn't do anything about it because she was at her most vulnerable stake she was asleep. She remembers that she felt like somebody was lifting her at that same moment, my grandma called her, my grandma, and something was wrong. My grandma called. That's when she opened her eyes and she knew that she was not on her couch. She was literally levitating. When she opened her eyes, she just fell to the ground because it felt like somebody was like pushing her to the side, Like not over the couch anymore. She was just like somewhere else and she fell to the ground. There was She started bleeding from her head and she felt really disoriented, and she called my grandma back and she was like screaming at her and telling her what was going on. Ever since I was really small, when she was based on my mom on the app, she had a really big scar on her hand, and I always asked my mom, why does she have that score? It's really it was a really big scar. When she told me the story, she said that when she was levitating, it felt like somebody was scratching her all over her body. My mom was like, something is really wrong. And so that's when everybody was being called. My whole family was being called to go help her get her stuff and leave that same night, and so they left the house. They grabbed everything, like as soon as she dropped the floor and called my grandma back. That's when everybody came to the house and just helped her move everything out that same night, and literally two hours they were done, and there was a lot of stuff there. When she got to my grandma's house, she said she remembers feeling burning sensation on her hand. She thought it was like the fact that she fell to the floor, so she just checked it. My grandma just checked just to make sure, and she had a large scratches on her hand. And so my grandma she she didn't want to wake up the priest because it was like five in the morning, but she was like, we need to do this because if something is attached to her like, it needs to leave now. And so they called the priest and he lived like three houses down, so he really wasn't that far until they called him. He really did. He wanted to help my auntie, so he was like, okay, I'm leaving right now. And so he blessed my grandma's house and told her like, Okay, this is gonna sound really weird, but she was like, but we need to do an extracism on your daughter because something is very terribly attached and it's really evil. And he could feel it. He could sense it, and that because my grandma said that when they were leaving, my auntie had a really strong smell on her and nobody knew what it was. She just thought the fact that when she woke up she was sweating, so they thought it was that. But it was like rotten meat. It smelled really bad, and everybody was like, okay, it's fine. They didn't tell her anything, but my grandma did remember that and she told the priest she smelled really weird on the way here. So she ended up telling the priest that she smelled rotten meat, and that's when the priest called her, Leah, something is definitely a to your daughter, and we need to do this extracism now. By then, my Auntie felt really sick, but she felt really weak, and that's when the priest knew it was time to do it. But since my grandma was really hysterical, she was like sobbing and she couldn't get a hold of herself. So my grandma couldn't be there for the whole thing, but my uncle was, and he refuses to talk about it till this day. He said that something very evil came out of my auntie, and that's why he still refuses to talk about what exactly happened. He just says that it was something really evil. He said that afterwards, after the whole situation, he felt like something was still lingering in my grandma's house. He was like, Okay, we need to bless the house a few times this coming month, like NonStop, the priest would come and bless the house. Every single week he would come and up until, like my uncle ended up moving out of my grandma's house, he didn't feel that way anymore, but my grandma would time to time afterwards, she would say that she would still get that weird smell for years where she would get that weird smell and she didn't know why. She said that every third of every month she would hear her closet doors knock three times, like they were like somebody was opening them. And it always happened three times every third of the month, and so she thought it was very strange. So she ended up putting rope around the closet doors to try to she thought it was the wind, so she just locked it just to see if it was that, and it stopped for a while. And during that whole thing. My grandma was still she was still traumatized by it, and my Auntie she refused to talk about it. She didn't want to bring it up anymore. Nobody wanted to talk about it, but my grandma. She still had that emotional feeling because she felt so helpless and the fact that she couldn't be there to help my auntie. She didn't know why it was happening, and so she called that was like, she called her priest friend and he went over to the house and he was like, yeah, something is still here, still, something is lingering, something is following my grandma. The priest was like, okay, like we need to bless the house. And that's when he started coming to bless the hat my grandma's house every single day, like non stop. Every single day for two months, he would come and bless my grandma's house. The priest still felt like there was something still there, so he had to call like I forgot what it was called back then, but he had to call someone else that was better and like more advanced at what he was doing. I remember he was a guy, but he was a type of guy that was like really tough and he didn't really care and he would just walk in and be like, Okay, let's get this done. And I remember my grandma said that the guy refused to come in. He literally would not stiff anywhere near the house and he was like, no, I can't. And that's when my grandma knew, Okay, she had no money left, she had nothing, like all her money was put into that home, so she couldn't leave even if she wanted to. And that's when she told She told my auntie, you need to move out. I don't want this to like haunt like your daughter or you or anyone else in the house. I don't care about myself. Take care of yourself. And so my auntie she refused to leave the house and she was like, I'm not going to leave you here by yourself. Are you crazy? And my granda was like, it's not going to leave. The priest basically told her you need to move out or you're going to have to deal with this, because every time he would come and buss the house, nothing would change. Jackie eventually traveled down to Mexico to meet her family for herself. That's when she discovered that there's a whole other world out there. Things we will never truly understand. Next, my mom felt like she needed to do something to lighten the mood, so she decided to surprise everybody by sending me to Mexico with my family. And so my mom sent me, and I was very nervous. It was like my first time ever traveling, ever going anywhere, and it was like my first time on a plane, so I was really excited about I was really trevious. My mom was like, you're gonna be okay, You're gonna find everybody. Everybody knows everybody's there is family. That felt calming, but I was still gonna miss my mom. We're gonna go for two weeks. The day of my mom she cried and she was to give something bad. If you see something, tell someone, or if something bad happens to you, call me or tell someone in the family so that they can help you. And that also okay, like why would she be telling me this. I'm like eight years old, and I'm just thinking, oh my god, like the worst thing is going to happen to me. After the whole plane riding and everything, everything went fine, and that's when they surprised me. Everybody was crying. Everybody was happy that I was there when we landed in Laja, and so my one of my other aunties lived there, so we stayed with her for the night just so that she could also see me and we could hang out with other family and my other cousins that lived there. She said that she felt really weird, and so we just thought it was because it was like her first time seeing me. So we just thought, Okay, it's fine, and she was just really nervous. So they really caught her by surprise, and so we slept over. Everything was fine in that house. Nothing happened in that house, but when we left, my auntie told me she was like, be careful in your grandma's house. That kind of spooked me because that was like not the first time even had ever told me that, Like that was like the fifth time that somebody was like, be careful, something's wrong. I just went on my way. We went to my mom lived, I believe, like in it's called Samoa or something like that. That's where my grandma lived, and she as soon as we stepped in the house, I remember that my stomach felt really weird and like I'm eight years old, like I really don't know what's wrong, Like I just thought it was like a stomach bug or the fact that I was really nervous and my stomach just felt like it was a really huge pit. And that was the first time that I ever felt like that, because I had never really gotten sick as a child, so that was really weird for me. Everybody was just kind of like looking at me as I opened the door, because they let me open the doors until it was my first time there, and they're like really excited, and I felt really strange, and I was like, okay, like I'll just open the door. Everything's gonna be fine. I'm just nervous. And we opened the door. Everybody's like getting situated. Everybody's finding their rooms. My grandma's house has a two story house, so there's the living room, and then next living room is the kitchen, and then there's a in the living room, there's a staircase that kind of like a spiral, and there was I believe three rooms upstairs, which is where my auntie slept, and there was like my baby cousin's room, and then my grandma and my grandpa's room, and then in the middle of their room and my baby cousins was the bathroom. My baby cousin when we got there. When I got there, she I believe she was the room. She was arom the same age as me. She was like one year older than me. She invited me up to her room in her room. My kids in Mexico, they enjoy their toys like they literally compared to here in California. Everybody in Mexico is like a toy, like dolls and everything, like they appreciate everything. So her room was full of dolls. Everybody looked those dolls and my find and I as a kid, like I thought that was really cool because my mom would never really let me have that many dolls. We did stay in her room for a bit and I ended up ended up like she gifted me one of her dolls and she only let me have it for the trip, like not to take home. But she's like you can have it, like you can sleep with it. And I was like, okay, but I found nothing weird about the doll, but like it was like the most ugliest doll out of all the other dolls that she had. My cousin, she was a really strange kind of person, and I think it was because of like the events that happened to her with my Auntie that she became weird, but she was like I did. At the time when I got there, I didn't know anything about what had happened to my Auntie, so I just thought of it. I was like, oh, like maybe she's just really shy, so she's really nervous. And she would be like, oh, be careful because there's something. There's a little girl in the house that doesn't like a lot of people. And I was like, what are you talking about? I was like, really small. So I was like, is there like another cousin that I don't know about? But she was like no, Like she's always following my mom and every time I want to hang out with my mom or go play with my mom, she tells me now. And she she told me, she was like, just be careful. If she bothers you, let me know. My Auntie even told me she was like, yeah, just be careful, don't try to like like she was telling my cousin, don't talk about anything like that, don't scare her. And so the whole day went on and my Auntie she kept looking at me because she felt like something was off, but she didn't know what it was. And I felt really weird in that house, but I talked to them to me like it was my first time there, so obviously I'm going to feel weird in somebody else's home. We had a little cookout at night, and so there was like the whole neighborhoods know each other. So my aunt, it was like everybody in the family was making food for people. And it was me, Amy and two of my older cousins. They were there and we were all alone in the house while every adult was like in outside making food and like talking to the neighbors and everything. And we were playing hide and seek, and I remember my cousin was like, oh, it's a good hiding spot my room, and so I went and hid in her room under her bed. And when I walked into her room, I felt really weird, but I was like, it's just a room full of dolls, Like that's like my dream. So I just thought it was just that. And so everybody was playing hide and seek. It was my older cousin that was trying to find us, and he spent like a good amount because of my grandma's house, it's not that big, but it's also not that small, and she had like little like places that were pretty good for hiding spots, and she had a lot of secret doors and stuff. So spent I believe it was like ten minutes downstairs. When I went upstairs, I saw one of my older cousins, the other older cousin. He went into one of the other rooms, so I felt like I wasn't alone in Amy's room. Her bed was in this little corner. I felt like it was a small cube of a room. It was really small. I thought he probably wouldn't find me because she had a hell of dolls. So I was like, okay, like I'll just hide behind the dolls and she'll really like big dolls and like big pillows, Like her bed was full of things, so I just hid like behind the stuff. I remember hearing something was like tapping, and I thought it was my cousin like coming to find me, trying to like see if I would peek out and see if it's him. I didn't look at first because I was like, oh my god, like if I do that, he's gonna find me. When I kept hearing the knocking, like it was like constant knocking, like it felt like somebody was like she had a little day where she had like those Princess type of televisions that we used to have, and she had that, and it felt like somebody was like tapping on the TV like constantly. Why would my cousin just stand there for five minutes and tap instead of coming into the room. He literally took forever that I just try to find like another hiding spot. But as I was like getting out of my cousin's bed, I felt somebody grab my ankle. I went to the other rooms. It didn't feel unsafe, but he found me in her in my grandma's room and he was like, I thought you weren't in Amy's room, and I was like, why I wasn't there for a while? Wait forever? So I came to my grandma's room and he's like, oh. He was like, I saw somebody sitting on the bed and they were just like looking really sad. I thought he was trying to scare me, and I was like, just stop playing, like my auntie told you not to do that, and it's like no, like I'm being really serious. Somebody was in there. Later on in the day when when everybody like came back into the house, my cousin, my older cousin had told my aunty like, I saw somebody sitting on Amy's bed, but it wasn't Jackie because Jackie was in in my grandma's room. And she was like, okay, like maybe like you saw somebody else, and so my cousin was like, no, but it was a little bored. He said that it was a little boy and he like looked like his head was down and that he looked really sad because he had his hands in his face like he was crying. When he told my auntie looked at me, and my Auntie was like, my aunty was like, did you see anything? And I was like, no, I didn't see anyone. My grandma's house is really not that bay, so some people have to sleek and random places throughout the house just to find it like a space. So me, my grandma, and my grandpa we slept downstairs in the living room because everybody else was like in their own room, and so I stopped next to my grandma and my grandma was like a really deep sleeper. So I was scared because it was my first time sleeping in somebody else's house and I'm not used to that. So I was like my grandma was like hugging me. She was like, just go to sleep, like you'll be fine. I ended up waking up a few times because I felt like somebody was tapping me, like on my shoulder, and I thought it was one of my cousins. I couldn't go to sleep, but every time I was opened my eyes, there would be nobody there. So I was just like okay, and I kept going back to sleep. And then I remember my grandpa had his phone on the charger, and so I grabbed his phone just to look at what time it was because I couldn't go to sleep at all, and my older cousins were upstairs, like sleeping on my grandma's room. So my intention was to go grab my grandpa's phone and go upstairs. I'm try and see if I wake them up with my grandpa's phone with the flash because I'm not a really quiet person, so I felt like if I would come in and have them, I was like, they I would wake up everyone in the room. So I grabbed my grandpa's phone. But as I was getting up, I when I grabbed my grandpa's phone, I sat on the floor for a while just to see if I could unlock his phone because he had a password, and then I ended up locking it. So I ended up putting it back and I put it back on the charger and I try to go back to sleep. I couldn't go to sleep. My grandma did not wake up. I would tap her and she wouldn't wake up because she was like, it's fun, go to sleep, and she would just go back to sleep like nothing. I really tried to not look towards the kitchen because the kitchen like really freaked me out. Like it was like it was really dark in the kitchen, so you really couldn't see anything, not even the fridge you can see anything. She had this little door next to the kitchen, which is like a little backyard or like she had storage room back there. I could see the window above the scene shad the window above the scene where you could see outside, and so, okay, let me just not look at the window. It just looks somewhere else to try to distract yourself. And I couldn't go to sleep. So I ended up looking at the window and I remember seeing it was like a family holding hands in outside of my grandma's window, and that really freaked me out, and I thought it was probably like like my family just outside, like playing like a joke on me, because I thought it scared me earlier. So I just thought they were just messing with me. But it was like five am, I believe, or four somewhere around that time, so I was like, why would they be outside, And it was a mom I believe it was the mama, and it was like her four sons. It was like from oldest to the youngest one, and they were all holding hands and whatever time I would close my eyes like, they would just come closer and closer. I started crying, like tears were coming out of my eyes, and I was like tapping my grandma was like Grandma and she just wouldn't wake up. I tried to turn around and not look at the kitchen, but I think sense that somebody was looking at me, and so I looked back at the kitchen, like being the dumb little girl that I was, And every time I would close my eyes, I would pretend like nothing was there, like I thought it was dreaming, and they would come closer, and eventually they got inside of the house. It was like they went through the wall. I remember tapping my grandma really hard, and she wouldn't wake up, and then I went to go tap my grandpa, and my grandpa was like he woke up and he was like, there's nothing there, just go to sleep. I felt so alone because I felt like only I could see it, and nobody else was like nobody cared. Everybody was like hell a tired, and nobody was like, oh my god, there's something there. Everybody was just a sleep. They kept getting closer and closer, and I remember I started crying and I started tapping my grandma like really hard, trying to. I was like shoving her, and she was just like she was like, just go to sleep, Just go to sleep, nothing's there. I kept telling her, like somebody's in the kitchen, and she went and wake up. So it got to the point I genuinely, to this day, I think that I blacked out as soon as they got like inches away from my face because I couldn't handle it. And it was really scaring me because I remember like just turning around and telling my grandma something is really there, something is like sitting like standing right next to me. I feel like she knew, but she really tried to ignore it. That really scared was. That really did hurt my feelings like too. This day, I think about it, and I'm like, did you really know or like did she just like not know at all? My granma eventually did ask me, what else did you see? It was just that I could see that the woman had like long hair and it was parted. I could see that much of detail. And all the boys had like those slip back hair, and it looked like they were all wearing dressy like things. But it was just like really dark shadle couldn't really see the color or anything like, it was just black. And that really that really scarred me. When I stayed at my grandma's house, like, I refused to sleep in the living room with her ever again that same day when I woke up and I told my grandma, my auntie came downstairs and my grandma told her about it, and she came up. She sat me down on the couch and she was like, if you ever see anything, don't talk to it, don't look at it. And so I was like, okay. As a child, I didn't really cause any issue, So I was like, okay, I'll just do what she says. And my cousin, when she heard about what I saw, we were playing upstairs everything was fine. I was really trying to forget about it. We were playing upstairs with her dolls, and she's like, I heard about what you saw and I was like, yeah, that was really s scary, and it's just like, I just want you to know that I see that all the time in my room.
