Brianna's early experiences with the paranormal came at an age when you accept reality as it comes. As she grew up, she started to question what she had actually seen as a child. My name is Edwin and here is Brianna's true scary story. My name is Brianna. I go by Brie from the Pacific Northwest. I have had paranormal experiences since I was a kid. When I was really little, probably when I was like first grade or so, we lived in this really small town. The school was always creepy. I thought this was a memory of my mom's because when I was coming on this show and talking about my story, I wanted to make sure that everything correct, so I spoke to my family members to make sure. But she had actually made me realize this is a memory of mine, not hers. I was on a swing set and I was swinging, and I remember it wasn't windy, and the swings were just swinging with me, and I thought it was weird. But that was just like a little thing super young that I noticed was off. That was my first ever little experience. My mom could just told me her stories growing up, So I feel like I should start off with my mom because she's had very far backstory since she was probably around eight years old. Her earliest experience, she had told me there was a neighbor that she had and she'd go play with next door. One day, she felt this presence at this house, her friend's house. It didn't feel malevolent or mean or anything, but she said it felt like a man and probably in his fifties. She named him George because she wanted to be able to personify him in a way. Because she was so young, she didn't know how to explain like the fact that she was seeing this like shadow figure. She said, he was just a tall man, just a shadow, and he would just be around. And then she said one day he followed her home. Things would just happen around the house, things like could they would my mom and my grandma. They would leave the house and of course the lights would be off. They would come home, all the lights would be on and obviously no one else's home. And then there would be the other times where all of the cabinets would be open, like every single cabinet in the house would be open. At this time. My uncle, who is my mom's older brother, he actually practiced devil worshiping. He was really active in that. And so by the time my mom was about ten or so, my uncle had left the house. But when he was in the home, my mom's childhood home, the same one that George was at, she said, he ended up fading away. And I think it's because once my uncle started doing evil stuff, like in his room, he would turn rerecords backwards, have like upside down crosses on the wall. He had iron maiden posters, kiss posters, all the stuff that teenagers did back in that time. But once the evil stuff was happening in the house, George wasn't there anymore, and it was more of an evil presence, and it always stayed in my uncle's room. Once my uncle was old enough to leave the house, he left and my mom wanted a bigger room, so naturally that was my uncle's room. She said it wasn't right away until things would happen, but it was when she would go to sleep is when things would happen, and she would have paralyzing nightmares and it would be usually of her dying or her friends just really messed up, very graphic things, and she said it felt very real, and she was like ten years old at the time, she knew it wasn't her imagination, but she would feel paralyzed. She would have sleep paralysis. She would feel like it was like someone sitting on her chest and she wouldn't be able to breathe wasn't able to move. She would open her eyes and try to will herself to move, like when people get I forget what the word is. But when your muscles no longer work or your body, you have to rehabilitate your body to work in the way it was before. It was like she was trying to will her body to do something and it just wasn't. She wasn't able to get up, and sometimes she'd have to scream for my grandma and she'd come in and tuck her and then she'd be fine. That kept happening, and naturally, my mom wanted to get out of that room, so she ended up moving into my aunt's room because she had left the house as well. My mom was the youngest child, and so things didn't really happen because she stayed away from the room. It just seemed to be contained in that room. So years pass and then my mom she gains this one friend. Her name is Barb and She's still friends with her to this day. Barb was really into le occult and really into creepy things, and specifically the Ouigi board. Barb finds this Ouigi board, and my mom was like, not really down right away. But basically, Barba's parents were volunteer firefighters, so they were always gone. They were always gone at the same time, usually at night, because they would stay at the station sleep just in case they needed to get up and go. Barb and my mom would always be home alone, and so that's when they would play with the Ueg board. They said that they would always either encounter this really nice spirit or this very mean spirit. And this mean spirit had this like sovereignty over the nice spirit, like it wouldn't let it speak, like it would speak for it, say you're not allowed to speak to the nice spirit, like it didn't have a name, but it would refer to the other being or spirit or entity, and it was very creepy. So they would basically play with the oueg board and then they'd get freaked out they wouldn't play with it. But the thing is they would hide this Ouigi board in the house because Barb's mom and dad didn't know and this board would move itself around the house. Barb thought my mom was moving it, and my mom thought Barbe was moving it, but in reality, the board was moving itself in different hidden spots in the house. They didn't know how that was happening. And then eventually Barb's mom found the board. It was like hidden under the stairs or something like in a like cupboard under the stairs, like Harry Potter. But she finds the board. She confronts both of them and she says, you guys need to throw this in the fire in front of me. I need to see you destroy it because this is not going to be in my house. I'm not going to tolerate this. So they throw the Ouiji board in the fire, and the board is engulfed in flames and it's not burning like most of the board is untouched, like the text. The letters are still perfectly etched and printed on the board, as if nothing burnt it. And my mom said, like after that, she was really freaked out, didn't want to mess with things. But naturally, Barb, she's the person she is, She's so awesome. She wanted to mess with the spirits again, but instead they would use candles, so candles can be a way of communicating with spirits because it's like an energy source for them to feed off of. And so what they would do they would take all those really tall like prayer candles and put them all around the room and light them. They had like probably twenty or thirty of them, and then they would talk to the ghost and then the flames would raise at different points of the room so they knew where it was, and then they would ask it questions. And then eventually Barb's mom caught on and then she stole all of the candles because they would stash them. She found them all, but that didn't last very long. My mom's childhood best friend, she actually within the last couple of years she got married and so my mom was a bridesmaid, and so they went to this it's this really haunted town in Idaho. It's known for its mining and it's culture of mining, and there's been a lot of deaths and so naturally the only reservations they had for the wedding in that town was the most haunted hotel in the town. It's probably the most popular one actually, the main one in Wallace, that's like the monster in wallis all kinds of things happening. Either when I was laying down, there was an older lady that was playing my mouth open. My mom said every person in the bridesmaid like party had an experience. They get into the hotel, and my mom she's always been able to sense shadow people, so seeing figures of people that are just a shadow, or she's been able to see very specific details in ghosts. But they look like a person. But she said, they're like not a person. That's how she described it. I can't comprehend it. But she said she saw this little boy. There's a little boy and you know, like back in the day when they made like they would take like pieces of material and just basically made simple clothing, so just like squared shorts. Yeah, and I know the colors he was wearing and everything, with a yellow shirt and blue or red shorts, and he was in tennisues and he was piecing in front of our door, and then he'd start laughing. And then we went out of the hotel to go to the main area because they wanted to see like there were some drinks or something we could get out of, like a vending machine or anything like that. We go out there and I see the kid drigging going down the hallway and I was like, oh wow, I just saw him again. Yeah, this little boy was just running up and down the halls, and anytime she'd get more like a snack, the boy would be following her and just curiously watching her. My mom would ignore him, but he was there. It starts to turn tonight, everyone starts settling down, and then my mom said all night she would hear it just sounded like there was a car door slamming as loud as possible, over and over again. And it did it all night. And my mom said that the TV kept turning itself on. It was flipping through the channels by itself. She would turn off the TV and then it would turn on right again. So she just left it on because she didn't want to upset whatever spirits were in the room. Along with that, there were footsteps all up and down the hallway. My mom said that there was this woman, this older woman. She also looked like she was from like the nineteen hundreds, like the really high collar dress, the corset waists, the very hoop skirt, the big skirt. It looked like a Victorian era woman. But she was like trying. My mom has a gap in her mouth from just dental problems, and so she wears a device to hide it, but she had it out because she was in bed. So she said this ghost was like trying to pry her mouth open to see why she was missing a tooth. And she said this it was I. This is the story I was talking about that I didn't know about until I talked about these stories with my mom. I had no idea this happened until I talked to her with in the last month or so. But she said that this woman was really tall Victorian. She had like really long, scraggly kind of dark hair, but she just kept trying to pry her mouth open, and my mom would just keep trying to turn away from her. And then she basically didn't sleep the whole night. That woman wouldn't leave the room. Night turns into morning. Everyone's like, oh, my gosh, did you hear all those super loud noises the footsteps that everyone's talking about the same stuff. They're like, we thought we were crazy because we thought we were the only ones. But they come together and one of my mom's friends, she actually had scratches and rashes all over her legs. There was definitely a lot of activity going on with that. My mom's always been able to see those things when they were just saying, we just kept hearing weird noises and kept feeling things. It just felt like a bad vibe. Things were off, just unexplainable sounds, really, but my mom was the one that actually saw stuff. So far, we've heard from Brienna's and her mother's experiences, but as a family, they've also had collective encounters. Can you find an explanation of what was happening? The rest of her story is coming up next. Stay with us. I was probably about nine years old. I was in the fourth grade at the time. My stepdad was really into playing scary games on the PlayStation, and I would watch him because I was really into it and I thought it was fun. I'm still into horror to this day. But he would play this one game and the object of the game is capturing ghosts with this special film in this camera, so you'd capture the photo of the ghost and then it would go into the film and you'd basically be able to relieve the ghost of its pain or whatever. And so that was the object of the game, and I only bring that up because what I had seen was so terrifying, because this game was so detailed and the cut scenes looked so real. My nine year old mind, I couldn't put it closer to anything than this game what I saw. And so what had happened was one day my mom she was at the time, she had a stay at home job. We had at home daycare. We'd have kids come into the home, so this is one of probably her off days. No kids were there. It was just me, her and my brother. We were all playing hide and seek. We had this sectional couch. It was like an L shaped couch. It went up to the corner of the wall, so there was this like triangle space that I could jump and hide in and it was just like this little patch of wall that was a hit hiding space. So I remember running and she was counting. I'm running and I jump over the couch, like vault over the couch into the space, and then I'm just like I put my arms around my knees and I remember looking to my left and I see this woman. She has like like long black hair. I only saw her face and her shoulders, but it was like she was wearing this white dress. It was like a night type dress, like a night nighty, high neck, had a tie right at the neck and had this lace design. I remember that. And her face though, was the thing that was the most shocking, because the way she was looking at me was with complete fear and or it was as if she was like mid scream and she was just staring at me. And I remember seeing her and I paused because I didn't believe what I saw. I just got up and I got right out of that corner of the couch. I remember finding my mom and telling her what I saw, and at that time, she was very in denial about her experiences, so she was like, no, you're seeing things. It's probably from that game or your dad plays all the time. But I swear it was nothing I had seen in that game before. The look in her eyes, like just the wrinkles next to her eyes, and like her eyes were so wide, and her eyes or remember they didn't have a color, they were completely black, like the iris. Everything black the house. After that, I felt really weird about being home and even being in my room alone. I wasn't ever really alone in my room. If I was, I had my brother with me or my friends or like my rabbit or my cat or something, because I just felt like, ever since that had happened, I was just felt like not safe, I guess, but we had only lived in that house for a little bit longer, and so when I was like in the fifth grade, my mom wanted to start looking for a house to buy because we were renting the house that we were currently in. It's just this little drive through town, and we happened to find this really beautiful Victorian style home and it have six rooms. I didn't think my mom was even serious about getting the house, but she's really into very old decor and vintage things. I definitely inherited that from her, but so I think she really wanted to just see what it looked like. And so we get there and I remember we entered through the back door. So right when you entered through the back door, you're walking into the kitchen, and so straight ahead you would see the archway that would enter into the living room. If you were to go straight to the living room. To the right, there's a hallway. So there was a few bedrooms there in the kitchen. To the right of the entryway to the living room, there was two sets of stairs. The left set of stairs was upstairs, and then the right set was to the downstairs to the basement, and I remember my stepdad opening the basement door and immediately I just felt like darkness, heaviness, it just fell off. At the time, my brother was he was very young, and so he was attached to my mom's hip pretty much at the time. At that age, we were all walking through the kitchen as a whole, and so my little brother was just slightly behind me. But we all start walking into the living room and it was within seconds. My brother, Mind you, he's three years old, he has little legs, and these are steep stairs. We hear him all the way upstairs in the farthest back room, giggling at the top of his lungs, and it was within like a blink of an eye. None of us could explain, and so we run upstairss were like, how did he get up there? His legs were probably three fourth the size of the step, Like, there's no way he could have gotten up those steps by himself. But we get back to this bedroom and there's this rocking chair rocking by itself. I remember it was like a pale blue the paint was like chipping on it, and he was just like sitting there laughing, and he was looking up at us like what's wrong, Like why are you guys looking at me like that kind of thing. He barely spoke at that age, and so he's just looking at us, and we were just horrified because we did not know how that happened. I remember my mom scooped him up and we immediately left. We didn't even look at the rest of the house because it was that scary for my mom. But my brother doesn't remember this. He doesn't remember this, and I tell him and he's, yeah, I don't know. I'm like, dude, if you imagine four of us standing together, we're all like walking forward, like going towards the living room, and so the stairs are like to the right of us. As we were passing this set of stairs, it was as if my brother just teleported upstairs. It was weird. She was like standing next to the chair, and the chair was like it was just there, and it was like rocking. It wasn't rocking vigorously, but it was rocking a little bit by itself. And I remember after this had happened, my mom she actually reached out to the realtor again because she's, hey, I just want to know did something happen in this house? And then come to find out a little girl actually had passed away in the house. She was probably about four years old, which is probably, yeah, like a year older than my brother at the time. So now we think it was the little girl playing with him. There's no way he could have gotten up those stairs so quickly. There's no way. And we were like barely left the kitchen. Yeah, I remember, because we heard him laughing with something. I'm playing and I wasn't there like a walker. I was doing Caro. I remember. I was just like feeling a little disconnected from my family. And I had this experience where I was doing this reading and I kept getting these cards that were basically telling little details about my Grandma Beth, who passed, which is my mom's mom. And we were really close and she chose to not live anymore unfortunately, so she stopped taking her insulin. She had a lot of medical problems. But I always felt like she left at like way too soon. Was so close to her. But I remember this was like Halloween this last year. But I was doing a tarot reading for myself, and I was looking at another tarot reader's page because I follow a few other people that I resonate with. It keeps me on track, it keeps me feeling okay, yeah, I yeah, confirmation or just feeling confident in myself. I was watching this other's tarot reader and it was a random video and he says in the video, he said, Okay, I feel like this is an ancestor speaking to someone named Brie and they call you honey or honey bee. And my name is Brianna, and my grandma Beth would call me honey bee. And so I started sobbing. Of course, I'm like emotional right now thinking about it, but yeah, it was like a visceral experience, just feeling, oh my gosh, my grandma is with me, because it's you wonder if these people that leave us really do leave us. And I feel like the souls that are lost, like my grandma, she's still here and so it's amazing. I think it's a gift to be able to feel and sense and be aware that there are things that we can't explain. But I have a piece with that also. But my mom is the opposite. She completely hates that she can see things because it's terrifying. She'll see them in random places like she used to be a caregiver. She would see things there, like she just everywhere she goes. It's traumatizing for her. Yeah, I do feel bad for my mom too, but I try to encourage her. You have a gift. You can see things people can't, and it's something you can sense if you're in danger, it can it could save you if you never know. I think it's a gift. And I feel like people that do feel spirits or see them, or they have to have this certain connection with the other side. And I can't explain how we just do.
